For FemShep stayed loyal to Kaidan.

 I have played enough Shepards through the whole trilogy to have romanced every possible character (including both genders w/Kaidan).  I'm currently in the process of playing each of these Shepards through the Citadel DLC and have NOT YouTubed any content, so these opinions may change in the near future.

 I personally find Tali to be the most attractive character.  An ingenue AND a technogeek?  Sign me up please!  That said, I don't think her romance was treated the best.  I think it runs a close second to my nominee for best MaleShep romance.  That would be Jack.

 I was really pleasantly surprised with the romance arc for Jack.  Yeah, throughout it she's still a hardass ****, but there's also a real tender side to her and it has helped to soften my Shepard who romanced her.  Plus it made this die-hard pro-ender consider putting off the party until after playing through the end because of her comments.

 And now (as a heterosexual male) I will tell you that the BEST romance in ME is GARRUS.

 I'm not actually that big of a Garrus fan (my favorite crewmate in the game is Mordin *see note below*), but the relationship that is built up between Garrus and FemShep is heartwarming, appropriately awkward, and just flat out feels real.  Beautiful character moments, and it brings a whole new meaning to the quiet party on the
Citadel:lol:.



 

*For a really fun scene, don’t romance anyone in ME2 (in fact actively avoid building any relationships), but still go through the entire conversation tree with Mordin.  Discovered this gem on my non-gibbed male playthrough pursuing Kaidan:O.

For FemShep, it'd be Garrus though I haven't done Thane romance yet. My recent FemShep went Kaidan, Jacob, Traynor. I thought that Jacob's romance would have been a good one if BW didn't decide to have Jacob dump FemShep in ME3. Ah well.

MaleShep romances:

Miranda's romance was pretty lack-luster. Citadel made it better, but not enough to beat Ash's romance (which is just above Miranda's romance).

Ash's romance was kinda boring. Citadel didn't help.

Jack's romance was way better. Citadel brought it to my third fav MaleShep romance.

Liara's MaleShep romance was a bit better than Jack's. Has been behind Tali romance since I first started playing the game.


FemShep romances:

Kaidan: Meh. It's...ok.

Garrus: Good in ME2. Great in ME3.

Liara's FemShep romance was better than MaleShep/Liara. Hale did really good with the romance scenes.

Thane romance I haven't done yet, but I plan on it soon.

Jacob romance would have been a good one if BW didn't put him with Cole.

Traynor romance I haven't started yet (my FemShep is hasn't gotten to the Genophage cure mission yet). I'll come back when I do it.

Six trilogy playthroughs, each one with different LIs:
MShep 1: Liara, Liara, Liara.
FShep 1: Garrus, Garrus.
MShep 2: Ashley, Miranda, Ashley.
MShep 3: Tali, Tali.
FShep 2: Kaidan, Jacob, Kaidan.
MShep 4: Jack, Jack.

The worst? The one that dies from Cutscene Incompetence. But almost all non-Paramour and non-Normandy were sub-optimal. I wish they were better handled.

I like doing it on an almost entirely renegade playthrough. Shows a more sensitive side to renegade femshep and makes it known that "Hey! I may be an ****, but I'm not a racist. :D"

I've only romanced Liara throughout the series.

I tried the Miranda romance in ME2 but it left me cold (Miranda was one of my favorite characters in ME2, but the romance didn't appeal to me...), and I watched Allers' "romance scene" once because I wanted to know if she gets a flashback at the very end.

For Male Shep I usualy either go with Ash or Liara.

For Femshep I like to go with Garrus.


With Liara you can get with her in all three games (provided you have the LoTSB DLC)

Ash you still get her in 2 out of the three games

And the Garrus one is just hilarious (also get it in 2 out of the 3 games)

Went with Liara for my original 1-3 femshep, lack of choice in the beginning and later apathy being the major deciders.

Then chose Jack for 2/3 male shepard.

Well it's your opinion, so it's fine. 

Though I didn't think Miranda got very good romance scenes in ME3.

For my main Shep. He had a dalliance with Liara in 1, then fell head over heels in love with Miranda. Stayed true to her in 3 & survived being buried in a pile of rubble due to determination to re-unite with her.

I think she's the most interesting character, and her romance story is really great.
