Okay... I left the conversation two hours ago and you're still at it? It's like an olympic sport now. People are determined to win over some opinions. I don't even know where this conversation is going anymore.

They're holding lines or something.

I can see that. Sometimes, I wish there would be more mods online so they could stop this kind of shenanigans when they happen. I understand they have lives and all, but with the BSN being popular as it is, we could use more moderators to help us keep the conversations on track. Though now that I think about it, some of them would rather lock down thread instead of saving them. I guess it's for the better sometimes.

False, Western cultures value individuality. Several Eastern cultures are either group-think or turning into individualistic.

In fact, historically, humans have had group-think cultures since and before recorded history.

As of Mass Effect's age humans are individualistic - the most such race, you are told - so you can extrapolate that trending individualism in Eastern cultures to the current state of affairs in the game. So no, not false. Told to you by other alien races.

Edit: *sees last page* Well that's 20 seconds of a response that will amount to nothing.

Hey now, I read it, so it can't be nothing. I have no idea what exactly your argument has to do with anything, and I still think the concept of all humanity being individualists while all the aliens are all more community-oriented to be wacky as hell, but I still read your post. Which is more than I can say for any posts in the MP section, so you're at the very least doing better than them.

Someone suggested that human and quarian cultures are more similar than quarian and turian cultures, and I questioned that by comparing them from an individualist vs group-think spectrum. I think turians and quarians think more alike than humans and quarians, or humans and turians.

Someone said I was wrong and used current day cultures as evidence. I was just pointing out that this isn't really a counterpoint when comparing cultures as they exist in the ME day.

Tali but i couldn't care less about romances

Which is why you just said Tali.

I personally don't like Miranda's romance.  Not enough content (though Citadel made up for this).  I just can't see her as a person.  Everyone else?  No problem.  Though I never really liked Kelly...

What does this even mean?

I meant to imply that just because Fanboy said that he doesn't care much about the other romances, it doesn't he defaulted to Tali because of that.  I prefer Tali because none of the other MaleShep romances feel as natural.  Fanboy might have tried every other romance before he decided Tali was his favorite.  Don't assume Talimancers romance Tali in every single playthrough.

I said that a few dozen pages earlier. Quarian philosophy is very similar to that of ancient Rome, fight war to live in peace(pax per bellum), their culture seems to be reminiscent of many Middle Eastern ethnic groups and they value music, art and poetry. Turians are far more militaristic, their entire culture is based around warfare and they don't seem to value things such as art. Also, Quarian society is only based around group thinking out of necessity, they need to hold together in order to survive.

I've also noticed in some places people saying that Tali is better off being with than Garrus than
Shepard, just because they are both dextro-protein races, so they can get past boundaries that would be between humans and quarians. But what sounds like a better love story, two people of different races being
together because they have the most similarites in comparison to other races, or two people from different races being together despite their differences and the boundaries they would face?

This romance would have been very touching, the couple would have to overcome so much together and face such bigotry from their societies.

I have no clue what this thread is about anymore, I've been back nine pages and that didn't help at all.

Anyways, I'm just going to say Ashley was my romance choice and that I was pretty disappointed how little the romance was played into ME3.
I'll always have my bromance with Garrus though.
