 I was gonna post this in the other ME-not-4 thread but that train seems to have derailed a while ago.

Anyway, for anyone who hasn't seen it, there's a story on Gamespot about some twitter posts today from ME4's cinematic director, Ken Thain, and Mike Gamble.

Thain: "New #MassEffect story and main character reviews today. This sh**'s gettin' real! I think the fans will be really excited to play this story."

Gamble: "Lots of great @masseffect meetings today. Things are really moving forward. It's great to be involved in the universe again."

Seems like things are going well, though I know that some of that is the hype train warming up (which is understandable). I hope we can get as excited as they are in the coming months/years. I'm looking forward to a teaser trailer and hope it happens soon.

Just like BF4, EA encourages more freaking hype. I wish Bioware would take the Valve HL3 approach. Dead silence, hype it with silence but here they are screaming at the top of their lungs, "OH S&*$, watch out, here we come, everyone get excited!" Stop it Bioward, stop it. Please :/

Well, I would write something about how great it is they're feeling positive about what's going on. I'd be interested in the lively discussion we could have had. But, saddly, the haters got here first and have already killed the thread with their doom and gloom. So, congrats guys! I know that's why you're here, to try to ruin any possiblity of ANYONE having fun just because you don't like something. I know how offended you are at the mere possibility that people might be different then you, or like something you don't. I understand how much you hate diversity in tastes, and all that. So good going. They oughta do a 'Real Men of Genius' commercial for you guys.

Sheesh, a couple of employees are excited at the work theyr'e doing and YOU want to chalk it up to some calculated marketing project.   How DARE someone be excited at the work they're doing!  Those CADS!  Burning is to good for them!  Hangin is to good for 'em!  Right?

So.  You got burned by hype.  Oh, I am SO.  SORRY.  You poor poor darling.  I wasn't aware that hype was some sort of force of nature that you were powerless against.  Now you're cautious and cynical. Well, congratulations!  You've FINALLY grown up!  You should be cautious and cynical about EVERYTHING.  Not just a game.  When Tide releases their umpteenth 'NEW AND IMPROVED!!!' formula, you should be cautious and cynical.  When Miller lite says it Tastes GREAT! but is less filling?  Be cynical and cautious (tastes great my Portuguese French Canadian arse....). 

My advice to you, and the other haters is to just not buy the next game.  NOTE:  I am not 'TELLING' you what to do.  I'm just offering you some free advice.  Don't buy the next game.  Because you WILL hate it.  And you'll be here for years afterwards complaining about how much you hate it, and how bad they suck because they didn't create the game specifically for YOU PERSONALLY, and you'll get even more offended when people like me pop up and mutter about how childish you're being whining and kvetching incessantly about something you should have simply avoided in the first place.

It seems impossible. There usually isn't a winning argument, as lovers and haters of any given ME subject have fair points of view. The problem comes in when one party tells the other party how they should think,view, or handle it. Neverending chaos.

Anything worth discussing will be discussed and has been. Try slitghtly substantial instead of positive.

Well since it's one without Shepard, it means it's a brand new story arch. I'll be happy with that, something new to explore. I'm mildly excited. I hope they don't make me wait too long for it though.

Hey, here's an idea, you can...oh, I dunno...stop trying to ruin other people's fun with your constant negativity and then draping yourself in the +3 Cloak of Victimhood.  "I'm just stating my...opinion! <swoon>  Alas that thou woulds thus attack me for merely believing in that which thou dost not! <sob>"
