That is not what IT is.

Indoctrination theory (IT): It's all a dream. Nothing after Harbinger's laser blast happens. ALL endings never happened and the breath scene is Shepard still on Earth in front of the Conduit. (thoroughly debunked)

Deception theory: It all happens, but you are deceived into assuming something when the actual events don't confirm those assumptions; And, in fact, in-game events prove otherwise. This theory assumes the writers aren't complete F-ups and that things make actual sense.

Two different things. The Reapers' ability to indoctrinate is an inherent facet of ME's lore. This idea that the mere usage of the word or the mere reality of reaper indoctrination within the ME universe is synonymous with IT needs to stop.

Well, having read your thread as well as a good twenty pages of responses and counter-responses by you mostly involving you telling people they're wrong, that they've ignored your evidence, not to mention making snide comments about how their pride has been wounded, I can safely say that you're simply another insane IT theorist.

Luckily, Bioware will never institute your "interpetation" of ME3's ending resulting in your leaving us forever and we will all be the better for it.

Cheers,

-Baladas

If Shepard died on the Citadel, everyone who favored High EMS Destroy is screwed.

So you admit all of that "Shepard dies in High EMS Destroy"-nonsense was just that: nonsense?

Where on Earth did yo get that idea?  A sequel canonizing Shepard's death would only prove me right Image IPB

Just like BF4, EA encourages more freaking hype. I wish Bioware would take the Valve HL3 approach. Dead silence, hype it with silence but here they are screaming at the top of their lungs, "OH S&*$, watch out, here we come, everyone get excited!" Stop it Bioward, stop it. Please :/

No thanks. The vaporware approach is never preferable. I also don't see why getting people excited for their next installment with the current approach is bad. That's kinda what you want to do when marketing your product.

Back in the day Deception Theory was commonly referred to as IT-Con. TTG started to strongly oppose this at some point; my guess is that it's because the IT brand is toxic. I've been trying to be good and give the theory the name its creator wants, but like you I still see it as a flavor of IT, mostly because they have an essential similarity in the non-reality of much of the ending material

I still don't see why Bio would ever do that. What's the upside?

That I can't answer, as I can't see why they thought these endings were a good idea to begin with.

I didn't demand anything. I stated what needs to happen for me to invest my cash into the ME franchise.

Fine.  Let's end this bickering on semantics.

Since you KNOW that ME4 has no chance whatsoever of meeting what you need to see happen... continuing to post here about it seems like a very odd way to show your lack of investment in the series.

Translation: I don't like to see criticism on these forums. If you have anything negative to say go away.

On what basis is there any reason for anyone to post in a ME forum at all seeing as all 3 games in the trilogy is complete. Why are you still here? Why is anyone still here? Why is it when people can't make a proper case and don't like what they read they resort to "leave the forum" and subtle attacks toward the oppositions character?

"insane IT theorist"? Nice personal attack. You've completely refuted my theory... not.

Ppeople like you simply state I'm wrong without being able to refute a single point I've made. At no point does anyone point out anything I've stated and explain why or how I am incorrect. They simply don't like what I reveal and instead of simply acknowledging that they simply would prefer the bad writing angle (which is totally valid), they instead turn to attacks. Not you or anyone else can refute anything I've said and it pisses you off.

That is untrue. You speak about something you either do not understand or intentional misrepresent. At no point do I ever state anything in the endings does not occur. The theory hinges upon the idea that everything that is seen to take place does occur within those hours post Crucible firing.
