I disagree about her face. Just as I'm sure you and I disagree about the attractiveness of aliens, like Tali for example. This is perspective and cannot be objectively argued. This point is irrelevant.

What's so bad about aliens, what difference does it make from what world someone is? And hey, Tali does have the prettiest face of all the LIs. I guess some people just don't like her glowy eyes.

By the way, I just learned Miranda can't have kids 0_____0

That sucks...for Shepard anyway!

You should be listing the bad things about Tali, silly!

I'd never slap Tali like you said, but she gets hysterical too often and I pity her lack of self-confidence. Also, she gets too sympathetic towards the Geth in ME3.

I don't see why that would be a problem.

Shepard's a woman.

It's not like they can't have childrens. And the mail from LotSB is just too vague, the writer didn't take the technology into consideration.

Do I need to point out the flaw in that statement?

I can paraphrase it. He said the sex was a way at asserting control after leaving her father, not connected with the infertility. Suffice to say, I don't think the actual text supports it and I believe in death of the author.

So why ask for it, if you're going to keep going with your interpretation anyway?

I know you didn't ask for it, but neither you and Ieldra have budged from this position for all this time despite what Jay has said. I think it was brought up in the group (I tried to find it but haven't yet) and it didn't change your mind much then, so why would it do so now?

From what I heard/read... the doctor was a male figure exerting his control over Miranda. She objected to what he told her and saught out to be comforted?... from a stranger no less? Or have I misinterperted it? I remember reading the twitter comment but it left a lot more unanswered questions.

It was. And you're right. It doesn't change anything for me because I don't put any stock in authorial statements and never have. I believe I've said that consistently regardless of the subject.

Just out of curioisity, why do people care whether or not any potential LI can have kids? It plays no role whatsoever in the series, and in any sequels you won't be playing as one of Shepard's descendents.

Then continue with your quite frankly depressing interpretation. I'll keep my positive one.

The tweet read as follows ...

@hardboiledgregg Had big reaction to another 'father' figure- the doctor- 'controlling' her, certainly BUT not trying to get pregnant IMHO.

Keep in mind that Jay uses the "in my honest opinion" and not as fact.

In the series no, but in any love interest you have, especially one you might spend your life with, the future of kids comes into play.  It's inevitable.  We're humans.  We reproduce

As someone who has long argued that Miranda having casual sex was not in any way linked to the infertility reveal, and I'm glad her writer apparently cleared that up.

It just never made sense that the two would be linked. I mean why would Miranda, a woman who is obviously quite intelligent, seek to get pregnant by some random stranger just before she heads into a mission in which she knows the likelihood of being killed is greater than the probability of surviving? And then if she were to beat the odds and survive, there is that whole Reaper invasion to contend with. Not exactly good timing for raising an infant.

I'm glad I haven't underestimated the character's intelligence.

Kids would get in the way of restarting Cerberus or whatever the heck her new organization would be called.

I guess I never viewed kids as being necessary for a happy life, so I never quite understood the rage at the infertility reveal. And there are going to be a ton of orphans after the Reaper invasion.

Unless Sheploo isn't spending the rest of his life with a human...

Same goes for FemShep of course.

You know, if Saren can grow an entire army of krogan clones, I think Miranda can have as many babies as she'd like, with the added benefit of not having to carry them around in her gut for 9 months.

Fair enough. As long as you'd be so kind as to also admit that this interpretation is soley of your choosing and has no prescriptive power over the rest of us.

lol, I've always wanted someone to do one of those stick images of a family being chased by zombies... and one of them doesn't make it.
