The best voice acting IMO would be The Illusive Man (Martin Sheen..duh!), Vega (underrated), Javik, Anderson, Jack, and Miranda.

The most improved voice acting over the series would be Liara. She was a little flat in Mass Effect 1, but her VA hit the right notes in ME3.

ME1 Shepard.

ME3 shepard i liked meers VA alot. meer seems like a sarcastic and cool dude in real life, and it showed through more so in ME3. i like meer because hes the every mans voice, not some gruff grizzle VA. but hes not as good as that one guy, or that other one guy.

i dont like hales VA at all. after diana allers, hales voice just irritates the hell out of me. like shes overly trying to by hard and grizzled. i cant even think about what it sounds like right now, it irks me that much.

Excluding Allers.. definitely Liara. I find myself muting the game when I can't skip through her dialogue.

I'm not sexist or anything but I can't see shepard as a girl its just the story fits for a male protaginist

Yeah that excuse bothers me too man. I dont like playing femshep for 2 main reasons

1. This is the main one, im a guy and i play as a guy. Playing as opposite gender doesnt appeal to me in an RPG.

2. The VA is bad.

I just deconstructed that sentence.

Sorry, the story can go for either gender as the protagonist. Deal with it.

I thought she regressed a bit in 3, sounding at times like someone just reading the lines. In Lair of the Shadow Broker she sounded much more convincing so I was a bit surprised at her ME3 performance.

Mark Meers Shepard in ME1 (though he improved in later games) and Samara throughout. There were others who had their moments, but those two were the ones who spring to mind.

Strangely NOT Allers. Her problem wasn't being deadpan- it was being tonally inconsistent. She sounded too much like a gamer, not a war correspondent.
