@Heretic_Hanar, read the post above yours (also keep in mind that Ali Hillis wasn't the only one to voice Liara in ME3... according to IMDB there was also Jillian Murray).

This is new to me...

Which lines did Murray do for Liara and why didn't Hillis do them?

That said, the vast majority of Liara's voice acting is clearly done by Ali Hillis in all 3 of the Mass Effect games. I can clearly recognize that voice of hers, since she always sounds exactly the same in every thing she does (Lightning from Final Fantasy sounds EXACTLY the same as Liara, as does Lady Paluntena from Kid Icarus Uprising, and pretty much every other character voices by Ali Hillis).

In a game trilogy with outstanding voice acting everywhere, Diana Allers sounded weird and dull at times... Then I found out it was not voiced by an actual voice acting professional....

I am playing in French (so French voice) and the actors behind the voice of Shepard, Wrex and Garrus have done a fantastic job :

LOL damn that sounds terrible.

Not even trolling here. I seriously think it sounds absolutely horrible.

It sounds like every generic french person ever.

Disregard, she was just the face model.  Post has already been edited.

And Steve Blum/Jennifer Hale/Keith David don't?  All of the aforementioned actors/actresses have done a lot of roles and they don't "all" sound the same... I'd blame the directors on that one, not the performer.

She is the oddest choice. Any old voice actress could play her. I wish there was a way to get Khalisa Bint Sinan Al-Jilani on the ship instead, and have Javik hit her when she tries to interview him.

Let's also remember what "Bland" and "Boring" means.

This isn't a thread to rate acting chops, but bland/boring character voices.

I still have Bailey, Epilogue kid, and Jacob as candidates.

Well now, if we're all airing out into the open who we as the fans hate hearing for their bland genericism, my vote goes to the only person who deserves it, zaeed.

The man only has one voice tone, chain smoker. No variation, no emotion, just aussie smoker all the time. Not surprising, seeing as how Robin Sachs couldn't voice act his way out of a wet paper bag. Biggest favor bioware ever did was nearly cutting out zaeed completely from the third game, too bad they had to go and **** that up with the citadel dlc, but even than they gave him the treatment he deserved, as a parody and a comedic relief, as he deserved. Never invited him to the part and I'm glad bioware did something right with that abomination and let us pick and choose which bland cardboard cutout to take to the party.

If they wanted someone who could voice a real badass, they should have gone with Michael Rooker. At least he can play more dimesions in a badass gravelly voiced guy than "I'm australian and monotone".

:police:-deal with it.

I reiterate: Diana Allers is the only one who was truly bad in my opinion. I didn't like several of the jobs that some people used.

But Chobot sounds like she's reading off a script blankly. Was there any purpose to her being in the game beyond trying to give IGN head for a perfect score? Chobot has literally no talent in anything beyond licking PSP's. Talk about wasted resources and screwy priorities.

The real question should be does Chobot have any purpose working for IGN? The fact is that she managed to land a job at IGN—a job she didn't apply for—by virtue of an image of herself licking a PSP.

Tell that to the Talimancers. Whatever you feel about Tali, she was a character that was a part of the trilogy since the first game, and rather than the devs actually putting in time designing her face, they opted to go for a lazy-ass photoshop.

Apparently, it was more important to render the face of an IGN employee than to properly design the face of a character that has been a part of the series since the first game.

Mark Meer my no1 choice. he's godamn awful, sounds like he's reading a script aloud as a joke when noone's around. no depth whatsoever.

even that Salarian Eclipse leader, Jaroth, can act better than him. that line of his "since you care so mmmmuch" kills me every time!

When on the clock, most experienced military men have a detached style of voice delivery to them.  It's generally only the relative newcommers that have the gungho/dudebro/hollywood attitude.

I thought Bailey was OK. Most of his dialogue didn't leave much room for nuance anyway, since it was either about C-Sec stuff, info on whomever and only one instance of going on about the end of days. His role as Saul Tigh called for a lot more emoting than this.

And that's the hilarious part about it; the fact that Allers ended up looking like Snooki.

I agree with you, personally I'm okay with his voice also.  It can just fit in the bland/boring category despite its charm.  The voice of Allers wasn't "bland/boring" to me per-se, it was just awkward at times (but then again, so was her character in general).

Well, Robin Sachs RIP, and Zaeed was a cool char, yeah he was a grizzled mercenary, but he did have some moments of humanity, so, yeah.

I didn't think Zaeed sounded Australian.
Besides, I liked Zaeed. I think the character with the most bland/boring voice acting is Xeltan.

For me, I have got to say Ashley in ME3. Sometimes, she doesn't convey the expression well and it comes out pretty awkward.

actually Robin Sachs was British. There have been several actors who imitated an Aussie accent in real life and performances, but were British instead. One other prime example of that was Trevor Goddard (Kano from Mortal Kombat 1995).

I happen to enjoy Zaeed's voice acting, his voice and speaking manner is perfect for a hardened mercenary. Low monotone, not giving away any emotion and thus not knowing where you stand with him (in the beginning). it suits him and I like it :).

I thoroughly enjoy Samara's voice acting for that same reason. Low, smooth and mystical.

Zaeed's voice is all over the place in Dragon Age..He's perfect for that setting especially, but Robin Sachs is always cool.

Anyways, gonna agree with many here and say Liara. Maybe it's just the character. I liked Lightning in FF. I didn't even know it was the same actress all this time.

That's also possible, it's not a strong accent either way.  I've heard some Australians that sound similar to Zaeed.

Terrible voice actors:
Marina Sirtis
Chobot
Mark Meer (ME1)
The kid
Buzz Aldrin

That-could-be-better voice actors:
Alis Hills (ME1)

Though to be fair Chobot, the kid and Buzz Aldrin, Bioware should have known better than to use people who were clearly unexperienec in voice acting and give them such roles (double for the kid as he is given the most important dialog in the entire trilogy!). So while they may have been bad, Bioware should have known better than to pick them. Marina Sirtis have no such excuse.

Atleast Meer managed to become on par with Hale in 2 and the superior voice actor in 3.

All opinions of course.
