Though to be fair Chobot, the kid and Buzz Aldrin, Bioware should have known better than to use people who were clearly unexperienec in voice acting and give them such roles (double for the kid as he is given the most important dialog in the entire trilogy!). So while they may have been bad, Bioware should have known better than to pick them. Marina Sirtis have no such excuse.
I'd say it's more that she had bad lines than that her acting was bad.

Well now, if we're all airing out into the open who we as the fans hate hearing for their bland genericism, my vote goes to the only person who deserves it, zaeed.
The man only has one voice tone, chain smoker. No variation, no emotion, just aussie smoker all the time. Not surprising, seeing as how Robin Sachs couldn't voice act his way out of a wet paper bag. Biggest favor bioware ever did was nearly cutting out zaeed completely from the third game, too bad they had to go and **** that up with the citadel dlc, but even than they gave him the treatment he deserved, as a parody and a comedic relief, as he deserved. Never invited him to the part and I'm glad bioware did something right with that abomination and let us pick and choose which bland cardboard cutout to take to the party.
If they wanted someone who could voice a real badass, they should have gone with Michael Rooker. At least he can play more dimesions in a badass gravelly voiced guy than "I'm australian and monotone".-deal with it.
Both Zaeed and Robin Sachs were British though

I just deconstructed that sentence.
Sorry, the story can go for either gender as the protagonist. Deal with it.
And you didn't have to be sexist about it

I can agree with this. Certain renegade dialogue comes off as better to me, but for the most part, I prefer femShep as mostly Paragon than otherwise, and prefer maleShep as mostly Renegade.

Her lines were terrible, but it really feels like she did not bother to put any effort into them herself.

Damn that's quite the hyperbole you got there man.
I can understand people disliking Meer (personally I think he's great though), just as I can understand people disliking Hale (I dislike her too), but you are really exaggerating.
no I'm not. voicing a hardened soldier takes much more than you think. you need to have an edge to your voice. Meer focks it up big time, he's uber-bland to listen to and it's one of the things that annoy me about the ME games. he should've stuck to voicing vorcha.
You're not only exaggerating big time, you're also thinking in stereotypes.
Have you even ever met a real soldier in real-life? I don't think you have.

But I am surprised that so many say Liara. For me, it's just the way she talks. I think her voice actress is very good.

Benezia
Allers
Kai Leng
Those are the worst probably, but Allers is a scrub and barely a character. Leng and Benezia were pretty important charcters so they get the up vote.
The best voice actors were
Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Saren, All the ME2 squadmates and femshep in ME3, TIM, Anderson, Joker, EDI, Javik, James, Aria. They're all great.
Mass Effect had an incredible voice actor cast.

Do you guys remember "The Last of the Mohicans"? There was this scene where Daniel Day Lewis and Madeline Stowe had to shoot like a dozen times because the lines were so bad. It was the "no matter where you go or whatever.... I will find you." lines. They kept laughing.
I'm sure Sirtis was having the same problem, except her lines were even worse.

Overall, Chobot and Aldrin.
Jacob's lines were just corny at worst. In ME 2 he was a no bull kinda guy, much like Garrus in ME3 minus the humor and smoothness.

You've said your piece a hundred times already. So I'll say mine. I think Hale did a great job. I think Meer was way too bland. And before you say "Have you ever met a real soldier?" The answer is yes. I live in a military town. I play golf at the VA as a guest of a friend of mine who was shot in 'nam.

I dont remember too many bad minor ones either. Most salarians, elcor, hanar, volus sound a bit too much the same anyway (within species ofcourse). One silly mistake I always remember was mr. Chellick(?) the citadel detective. At some point he apparently inhaled a bit helium before finishing the conversation.
