Look at the existing character designs. They are already copied and pasted to death. As cool as prosthetic limbs may be, they would require extra art work and budget, things which lolEA is never going to spare.
Also, I am not so sure if I can take any more of the bioware's "artistic integrity".

I dunno wtf this thread is about anymore, but honestly I kind of expected to be confused when I saw the title. That or a stupid thunderdome thing.
Anyway, I don't think customization will be that fleshed out next game, OP. If they're going to include it, it'll be kind of toned down, and at most will offer new unlockable armor parts for each race. Prosthetics that offer any sort of gameplay advantage are a long shot, and frankly one that I don't really want.

I think it would be great to see prosthetic limbs in mass effect.
Maybe some Omnitool limbs? (translucent limbs *w*)

Anyway, I don't think having an overabundance of cyborgs would be a good idea for the series. It would feel foreign to the universe (even though Saren had a synthetic arm), just like that star-angel kid. Besides, would my guy just...slice his limbs off willingly for more power? I'd be thinking waaay too much about that.

"Oh, I was too lazy to work out, and somehow felt the need to punch through concrete. So I sliced it off"
