I just bought a new computer and it has a top of the line processer, do not know if that is the reason. But will not even let me enter the game. I downloaded the newest patch. I can play mass effect 2...have not tried 3 yet on the new computer but I do own it. Wanted to start over with the game, and try a woman out. But mass effect does not work. Any ideas how to help me?

I have widows vista 64. I am using the same windows as my last computer which it worked fine on.
my new processer which is the only thing changed and the ram is a amd FX™-8120 eght core processer

I am not sure how to do that, but I should be admin anyway my computer....only one that uses it.

I never had problems with vista before, maybe the processor and vista do not get along???only game so far that does not work. Only real old game I am interested in because it ties with the new one and I love mass effect.

Right click on the launch icon, select properties, then go for the Compatibility tab and right at the bottom you should tick the line "run as administrator".
If that doesn't seem to work, link the Mass Effect executable to your desktop instead of the Mass Effect launcher executable and try running that one as admin.

.......now I have another problem. I have played the game almost complete and then when I go to play peak 15 mission, as soon as I enter into the lab, from the tank......they all turn into BLACK BLOBS. All the aracknih or whatever you call those creaters area all black, the whole mission is black blobs. I can still fight and walk around. If I jump back in my tank they trun normal again. Then as SOON as I enter the lab part BLACK BLOBS. . I was trying to play the mission and maybe after the mission everything will go back to normal....but it stalled on me. I was going to try again tomorrow, but I thought maybe you guys might know the problem. My drives say they are up to date on my video card. Anyway if you can help that would be great. I will check on this tomorrow if you have any answers to my problem. GOOD NIGHT.

thanks that worked. Little choppy and crappy looking but better then those blobs or boxes.
