I'm on PS3 and I never see this problem.

It is quite a new non HDD unit, but I don't recognise any of these issues. If it really was memory leak wouldn't you get the same problems in SP?

Looks more like lag to me.

It does happen in single player.

How often do you play ME3? What maps do you often play on? What enemy factions? How long do you play when you play?

In regards to BroJo's PS3... as far as I know, it's more of a "household" PS3 that he and his roommates share. He did actually pick up ME3 for it and we played together for a few weeks. But he's primarily a PC gamer and it seems drifted back to his preferred platform. You only ever see the roommates watching Netflix on it anymore. Image IPB

Proof of BroJo on PS3:

EDIT: Also, lolsilver. We did a lot of Golds, too, but a buddy wanted Silver that round.

On the topic at hand... heh, yeah. That's why I think PS3 players, especially the really good ones, are sort of the unsung bad-asses of ME3 MP. We go through a LOT of BS and still are dedicated to the game. That says something about our player base, in my opinion. Or we're all just terrible masochists. I haven't ruled out the latter yet.

This problem does seem to vary from PS3 to PS3, though. For example, there are some people my on friends list that simply can never host. Meanwhile, I almost always end up hosting by request both because I have a very strong wireless connection (boggles my mind, since hubby is usually gaming on the wireless as well, so you'd think I'd be a laggy host... but apparently not) and because my old fat 80gig apparently is a workhorse when it comes to swimming through the issues. I can usually host 4-5 Gold matches before having to reboot for safety, as long as we don't get Goddess or a hazard map in that run. The only maps I really have to hold my breath on are Goddess and Hazard Ghost. And whenever I start getting that framerate drop when hosting, I leave. So far, that has led to successful match completions for my buddies... and then they all want me to re-host again once I'm back up. LOL

You're such a kind person, leaving matches Dragon.

Wish my PUG host from yesterday would've done that -_-

Sometimes, she comes back in the same game. ;)

She's a fast re-booter.

If we continue blaming BioWare for not doing anything about these issues we'll get a thread deletion I'm sure. Still haven't seen any kind of formal acknowledgements from BioWare here on BSN, probably never will too.

Really, it seems pointless to try and fight through it when that starts happening. Because either the host will freeze and screw everybody, or the host can leave and reboot, hoping that the rest of the squad went on to successful mission completion and earned their credits.

I'm a Turian at heart. "Victory... at any cost."

Haha, I do try to always make it back in, though. And sometimes I do, and go on to top-score anyway. LOL

Doesn't happen often, but when it does... I feel amused. Image IPB

Yuup. That's the best part, nothing from Bioware. And doubt they'd delete anything because that would be acknowledgement of some kind as well..

Yup. Looks very familiar. Getting pissed off just thinking how messed up (replace with more appropriate expression) this game is on PS3. Enough to make me ragebuy a 360.

And can't believe they thought it was ok to leave it as it is.. it's just.. stupid.

PS3 owners get shafted like this all the time. You just learning this now? As in, don't you read on how most multiplatform games fair best on the 360 (including this series. Yes, every ME game I own for both systems & it be true), yet you stick with the PS3 especially being a ME/BioWare fan? Strange, I say.

So don't forget to say "I can't believe they left ME2 in that buggy condition too," as well (the voice cutting off all the time says ready for beta testing all the time, lol). ... ME1 I have to make a full playthrough, but the brief graphics comparison made things very clear (so not the same ME1 atmophere. But since I own both, glad they different enough. Especially part 2 with new lighting all over the place) + they so botched the film grain affect where it's unusable on PS3 (ME1&2), as it makes the graphics way worse to the point where having it on is not an option at all. While on the X-Box playing with film grain adds so much to the game... I miss film grain on ME3, but the textures are detailed enough here where you don't miss the added depth of film grain as much.

That is because everything is working as intended. Bryan Johnson wanted your PS 3 to freeze, cause a memory leak or whatever. It's all like they wanted it to be apparently. Q&A is flawless.

What you're complaining about is a graphical issue which, in the end, has absolutely no bearing on gameplay, story, or whether or not PS3's freeze while playing this series.

Yes. I sorta am. Not sure I understand the point of you're trying to make. I shouldn't have bought ME on PS3 in the first place or something? I'm an idiot for not expecting it to break my console and so on?

Well I play waaaaay too much :D

I do get lag from time to time (especially when I play with mainland Europe for some reason - I'm in the uk) but the issues you mention, I don't really get.

I have had ME crash on me about a handfull of times in the 500 odd hours I've been playing, but not the level of issues you've seen.  I think I had one collectors Gold match that crashed.  Maybe I'm lucky, or my newer PS3 has fewer issues.

I sounded mad? Hmm... well I do have the Trilogy for both systems, I should be happy?... Oh wait, I only found used copies that contain unsed pre-order DLC stuff password vouchers for all the PS3 ME games only, and none for the X-Box yet, despite several purchases so far of the same games... so I still lose cause the PS3 clearly ain't the system for this trilogy. ... Yeah, I'm sad, I guess...

Every time I play this game on PS3 (which is a total of 3 matches now lol!) I get more weary about playing it again. You guys have the patience of saints. Probably the most difficult jump is going from PC to PS3.

That's what I thought. And who could I blame. But honestly I think we have the best community. Very quiet, tight knit and nice to each other. And I've been told that our chatrooms are a nice thing that don't exist on other platforms. So many fantastics players are in the chatrooms that makes platinum looks a walk in the park.

I know that there are chatrooms like Legion on PC. They are also wonderful. But thr level of craziness of OUR chatroom exceeds all. It's more fun than actually playing the game.

I'm single, female, and 12. My profile says I'm a boy but that's 'cuz I was told there are no girls on teh Internet so it must be true. Oh and I sound like a boy on the mic 'cuz of voice changer.

I got my PS3 for Christmas in 2010. If yours is newer, that's why you're not experiencing these issues..but it'll happen. Because as DHKany and I mentioned previously, very few game developers actually coded their games right for this platform.

Then again, you may just be one of the few lucky people who will never experience any problems ever :P
