Do I skip Nightshade Blades altogether? I don't have any gear for Grenade Capacity.

Would it be best just to skip this power and give her a shotgun with Melee capabilities?

and Does Biotic Shield instantly restore shields upon use?

Night shade blades are quite a nice power to use when there are 2 bosses within range. and if your going for a melee build, then it can be useful when you teleport in and realise that there's 4 guys not the 1 you could see, cast blades to damage and stagger, and teleport back out of there

I personally only use 3-4 point in poison strike, so I can have some in the blades

Also if you are going for a melee build, a shotgun and omniblade is probably optimal, but if you don't want an omniblade/shotgun then the shotgun regular blade, pistol and assault rifle melee mods are second best.

I would not do it... With her great mobility you can visit the ammo boxes quite easily. NSBs add a lot to her damage output and you can kill phantoms quite easily

Here you go OP, about the best I could do.

The Graal is a projectile weapon so takes a bit of getting used to (especially) off host but on the plus side it ignores armour damage reduction and staggers every humanoid sized enemy in the game.
The Cabal's melee, Poison Strike and Nightshade Blades also stagger enemies.

I normally use Poison strike as a tool for greater mobility rather than for damaging enemies and with that plus her great dodge and the from tankiness from Biotic Focus she can be quite a powerful character at least up to Gold.

Edit: and to answer your other question, yes Biotic Focus instantly restores 40% of your base shield and gives you half a second complete invulnerability too, though you can still be sync killed.

Came here to suggest the same build, more or less. I agree the Graal is the best choice out of your current inventory. The raider or wraith are worth looking at when you get them.

Modified it a bit so it fits my playstyle. I rarely use the Blades, only if I don't have my gun reloaded and need a quick stagger. I also recommend to seek & destroy(cwutididder) lesser creatures rather than playing with the bosses. It's a lot of fun.

you can snipe everything on the map without fear of being hit. but also adds a nice melee functionality to the kit too, being able to jump through walls at enemies and know your going to hit them thanks to geth scanner. I really enjoy this build.
but I have done a full melee build, and that too is very fun.

There are quite a few ways to spec the Cabal. Play around with a few builds until you find one that suit your style. I'm quite sure I used more than a dozen Reset Cards on the Cabal before I am satisfied with my current build (no PS).

Poison strike can be rather glitchy off-host, but if you have Geth Scanner gear, it can be effective. I use the piranha on her because it's lighter and easier to use.

Biotic focus restores shields, but does not restore health gate, so best to use it a bit earlier than later ("later" probably means needing to be revived). 8)

btw I just got the Wraith, should I replace the Graal for it? If so, what mods?

The Wraith is a great weapon, give it a try to see if you prefer it. It has surprisingly good range for a shotgun - especially with smart choke equipped.
As for mods I usually use smart choke and high velocity barrel but I'm not sure if you've unlocked them yet. You definitely want some form of piercing on it though - so high velocity barrel, shredder mod or armour piercing ammo would be helpful.

I never skip nightshade blades. I'm a big fan of the blades, they're much better than ballistic blades. If you don't have grenade gear, I would still spec into them, because poison strike is something I personally dislike. I can carry 7 blades, so I tend to spam them quite often. I only ever use the harrier or the lancer on this character, works out pretty well for me.

Well then you could equip both of them ^.
Or armour piercing ammo, smart choke & melee mod if you plan on using the Cabal's melee much.

@Air Quotes - OP is new to the game and doesn't have a lot of the equipment and weapons you suggest using.

Well he can still use some light AR for the first build and a pistol for a second one. 

I was speaking more about the OP's lack of Grenade Capacity gear or Geth Scanner which make a huge difference to those builds. But anyway, your builds are still good but there will need to be some adjustments by the OP.

If you don't go pure Melee there is no point in playing this character. Any other Turian/Vanguard/the Batarian Soldier would do more and do better.
