The Revenant is good, I just can't stand the cheesy screen shake, but if that's working for you then go for it. And yes, in my experience the Arsenal Pack seems to drop weapons a bit more, but honestly it's hard to tell. To be blunt, I keep getting well...destroyed...with him. I don't know what it is, but I have been doing really ******-poor. I have a solid 6/0/6/6/6 build that I found on these very forums, and that isn't the issue, I think.
What weapons do you equip with yours? I don't have Reegar or Harrier yet.
Any tidbits of advice are appreciated! =)

Always march towards the enemy on non-objective waves steadily. Plan on using all of your Thermal Clip packs.
Equip Shock Trooper Gear, try to take lines that offer soft cover, and abuse RHA. With the Raider, I do not run from Banshees. I shoot them and nade them to stop them short. Then I shoot a clip, RC and 2 shots shes dead. Your shields can handle the Warp ball she flings at you... just ignore it.
Trash mobs? Lol grenades.
EDIT: my build skips hawk missile launcher.

Yep it is very viable. However, you have to be very aware of the synch killers and start moving away earlier than you would with other classes. With no dodge and the movement speed penalty he is even more synch kill bait than a krogan.

Your post is dreadfully ignorant.
The destroyer stands shoulder to shoulder with the GI in terms of damage output, possibly the only character who can.
He's designed to be used with automatic weapons, and the grenades, free-choice of a secondary weapon, etc makes him powerful and flexible with no drawbacks whatsoever.
The destroyer was, and probably still is, the single most overpowered character in the game.
-Stagger immunity; few people recognise just how big of a deal this is.
-Fire rate, accuracy, clip size bonuses; vastly boosting the capabilities of any automatic weapon beyond the level that is attainable to most other classes; the GI being the only comparable kit
-High passive weapon damage; 52.5% may not be as much as a cloaked infiltrator gets, but the bonus lasts all game, not for 3 second on/off cycles, so is perfectly capable of doing better damage in the long run.
-Has grenades which can clear entire spawns with impunity, giving him insane mook killing ability even before you factor in his weapons
-Starts with high shields, and has one "spec out of" power so you can max fitness, freeing you up to take an adrenaline module, completely compensating for the measly 10% movement speed penalty he suffers, whilst still having better damage output versus bosses than a GI and equivalent mook killing power.
-Zero cooldowns, leaving any and every weapon able to be chosen.
The destroyer is in no way a weak character. As for the other weapons kits, excepting the GI, none of them come even remotely close to the amount of damage that can be output by the destroyer.

Poke, if you hate having to spam nades for him, don't forget he has another awesome ability you can grab instead
