I'm always grateful when the strong players get us thru - and message them so straight after.
I couldn't stand by and watch like that especially when some dude burned gel like that to stand upright and continue. Let alone get on BSN to tell it as a cool story - it ain't cool but your right it's your choice - and I'll leave you to it - bro

I`ve already mentioned many times on this forum how much I hate 1. single starter, 2. no equipment players. Those are my honest feeling and if anyone disagree with me we are just different people.
When I decided to watch those 3 players, it wasn`t all about consumables.
I can see their character level & load out too. I can tell when they are only prepared to fail unless they use my effort to full extent. At that point, I am not enjoying this game but just being use by these cheap-ass players.
I don`t remember what those players had, but I remember the drell guy had Lvl 1 Indra. How much damage you think this guys will do against Prime without equipment ? hmm?
Other 2 probably had worse load out since all their killing came from grenading & flamer up to wave 2.
I don`t tell other people what to do with this game, but I will indeed dislike some players for certain behaviors. I am not a saint.
In gold game you get 80000 credits and can afford Spectre pack which comes with 3 lvl III equipments.
Yet, some people don`t even want to invest lvl 1 equipment which is roughly worth 1000 in-game credit.
I don`t have to either promote that behavior or try to understand it.

Actually, we just lower our standards, because if you equip Cryo ammo, that is more than can be said for a good felt 50% of the Pugging population. Thus if we kick someone going cheap on consumables, chances are quite good that the next three palyers will be total cheapskates with nothing equipped at all.
A level 3 Cryo Ammo is just fine for Gold. Honestly. Nobody demands you to equip level IV ammo, Level 3 Amps and a Cyclo Mod IV for Gold.
ALL WE ( The consumable using faction ) want is for YOU to consider, that YOUR innate leetness is indistuinguishable for us from the Morons and lazy asses that popualte our PUG groups, so by equipping a bit of gear, like a level 3 ammo power or three level 1 consumables YOU are showing US that we can trust you to be a valued teammember. Also that you cannot be reborn with those consumables in your next life, so why not use them?
99% of non consumables equipper have no microphone, expect to be carried and only use missiles to make escort missions harder, whilst this number is MUCH lower with poeple that bother to equip gear.
Nobody makes the effort to look up your name on the BSN to see wether or not you NEED to have consumables.
So please just equip EFFING level 1 consumables and overcome your inborn cheapness. Thank you.
Edit: Again for clarification: Even if YOU may be a superb player, chances are that other PUGs are not. If we use YOUR excuse for going cheap for those who NEED a crutch, a MUCH higher amount of Gold games will be total fails.
And EVEN if your crutch class can overpower anything, using consumables will make the match go smoother and faster for everyone of us.
As a regular gold palyer, you will have TONS of level 3 ammo anyway. Why not simply use them?

Seriously though. After plalying near 2500 and over 2000 PuG gold games,
you think I never carried 3 PuG players who never equip anything? I`ve done it hundreds of times.
I don`t owe these guys anything, and I will do what I see fit just like they do what they like to do.
Same here. Carried tons of players after a certain time in Game on Gold. I am just done with 3 players in a lobby without consumables. Done ton of those too and only a SMALL minority of it went smoothly. I don´t have fun in a game when I am constantly under pressure, soloing two banshees.

I used a Cryo round mod 2 i hardly call that buffing myself to the ying yang. Secondly define "commitment to the match". Do you mean wasting endless credits bailing out players and carrying them every step of the way? I never said i do not use rockets to help players and medi-gels i would need only for myself so not using them hardly effects the team.
Hell i have 255 medi-gel in my arsenal so i must be doing something right. If the match is won with a excellent score and minimal deaths then i have already majorly commited to the match. Last i checked the combined score defines the amount of exp YOU get at the end of the match. I do not need to fling rockets around to bail out inexperienced players that is what i have a gun for.
We have internet gold! Apologies for the necro, but I just saw this and it was adressed to me ...
See the highlighted statement. Thank you for finally defining the thought process of people who choose to bleed out on wave 9, or away from an objective .. I never could understand until now. They just don't want to go below 255 med-gels!
All I can say is wow, just wow .. I would come up with a logical counter to this, but what would be the point?

...Actually even in real world, best saving is done in the form of investment.
In ME3 MP.. Investment is simply performed by using consumables.

And yet people do everything to not use equipment, even on platinum. Just a few minutes ago I entered a platinum lobby. Three people in it, all with equipment that even makes sense. One of them a huntress, challenge points below 1.000 but what the heck, loadout and kit are ok. I gear up and press 'ready' ... what happened? That huntress starts deselecting the equips after the rest get's ready. I stopped, voted to kick and it took the other two a few seconds to realize why I kicked - then they kicked the player out.. What is this behaviour? It almost looks like some people are begging for a failure.Tallgeese_VII wrote...
ME3 MP will become much brigher world when everybody start realizing that they cannot earn more credits by saving consumables. Every Gold/Plat game is just as important as your next one.

Edit: In one of the next games a destroyer joined a platinum game in progress (wave 1 or two). He scored 36k and he never used a gel. After the match I checked, he had zero medgel. That's the road to success I guess?

Smart people use natural buffs to succeed rather then fortifying themselves up to the Ying Yang with equipment. (Platinum should be the only reason you use equipment) I went into a random game the other night with a guy ranked 440, another over 4000 and another just over 11,000. I was using a lvl 12 turian infiltrator with only cryo rounds while they were using lvl 20 characters with full equipment on.
One of the smart asses tried to kick me but one of them must have been smart enough to see the natural attributes of the TGI was ample enough. At the end i topped the leaderboard by over 20,000 of the second score and decided to gloat over the mic. I hate it when people assume no equipment will always equal failure. Skilled players will always have a ace up their sleeve and think ahead. (The 4000 ranked player was the only one not to ready up so i assume it was him) Shame on you.
TGI = cloak = 3 people taking aggro for 4. And you scored 20k more than 2nd place? In gold? Really? You're proud of that? 20k? With cloak?

And it continues today. BotB sporting a lvl 1 Batarian in platinum, using lvl III and IV equips, but explosiv ammo on the harrier. The host wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, asking him to use at least a better ammo mod. He changed to inc rounds while I ninja stalked his N7HQ only to found out that he didn't have any rockets and not even a full set of medgel. He went out the airlock in a manner Javik would've been proud of.MaxCrushmore wrote...
^^Lol - well to quote the' teammate-of-the-year' candidate from this thread as it applies to that destroyer "medi-gels he would need only for himself so not using them hardly effects the team."
Who needs med gels in Platinum, right?
Another player with very low N7 and CP points (but enough to already know that there is a difficulty selector) was trying to set up a pltinum lobby. I got dropped into his lobbies several times, but the other palyers had already marked him so it was easy to get rid of him. The last time I dropped into his lobby there was another low N7 with him. Again I checked the N7HQ, and he's also a member of the zero medgel club. Just to point out that a lot of leechers know exactely what they are doing.

Even if there is a chance that you'll get carried in gold or plat...you have to make it to at least wave 11 to get the creds if i'm not mistaken..anything lower than wave 11 i believe you still get creds that i believe you would still get on like a silver difficulty...and that is if you even make it that far.
Just grind those lower skilled levels and buy consumeables like everybody else...trying to get carried by going to higher levels will result in annoying games that just aren't fun....at least at lower levels you can get away with not having consumeables and still have an entertaining experience without it being too stressfull.

I gave them good time to put on equipment, but none of them bothered.
So I put away my equipments and decided to see how good they are.
Game turned out to be Geth/FBW(H)/Gold.
I didn`t do anything but use cloak and hide.
They all left after this game, but I really wonder what they expected.
We could have easily beat that game together if only one of them bothered to put level 1 consumable and motivate me minimum.
I may be a mediocre player and surely not top of the notch, I do have consumables, gear and stuff and I am also using it. But this behaviour is just plain wrong and has nothing to do with equipped consumables or not. No one argues if you kick such people or simply leave the game, but as soon as you launch the run, you are responsible for your team, just like any other player. And that is what you are, just a player, like everyone else here. Not some sort of teacher, not some sort of 'Big Daddy' or some Behaviour-Cop.
Not only did you fail in your responsibility to get your team through the mission, you also decided to get to the forum and brag about what great kind of thing you did there.
I don't know what kind of person you are, but this is actually self-righteous, arrogant and attention seeking behaviour. You, Sir, are definitely one of those guys i never want to see in the same lobby as myself. And if it's just for the knowledge that you are probably not doing anything except for using cloak and hide without telling your team.

I know this might be a shock to you, but the OP is not the only one responsible for making sure he is prepared to contribute to a Gold match.
When 3 people join your lobby with obvious sub-par set-ups for Gold, why is it your responsibility to drag them thru a match for credits they didn't deserve? .. it is a team game, hence other players can also assume the responsibility for contributing.
Make no mistake, the OP (and fyi myself and many others) don't care about individual player skill, they care about effort. Joining a Gold match with an Indra I and no equipment is not effort .. that's just someone wanting to be carried to a payday
