One more...and I admit that this one is really silly.

Bailey's Hair.

Why did they have to make Bailey look younger by changing his hair colour from grey in ME2 to 'fibrous redhead' in ME3?

One camp would say that his character might go for it given his promotion - 'old man's vanity'.

While another camp may say that it is slavishly bowing to the cultural obsession with youth and beauty.

This really bugged me too but I think it's just because the way blonde renders changed between the games. Bailey's blonde in both. The ME3 version is just darker.

Udina though... What's up with that? I mean that was white to brown. No explanation whatsoever.

But the worst offender...

Aethyta getting a younger face. I mean, what?!

No weapon holstering. Not really important but it does mean that Shepard is looking silly walking around waving a gun at all times, plus the camera stays locked behind him/her so you can't get all the nice views of the surrounding area when you're out of combat.

* Shepard + sqaud suddenly acquiring an Avenger assault rifle during cutscenes
* Eyelashes falling into the eye
* Life Support room having no purpose other than to hide a model ship
* Not being able to drive a Mako during Priority:Earth despite there being several of them around

Tali screws with my timeline. About halfway through ME3 she makes a comment on the Citadel, about how it was 3 years to the day since she first arrived there with the info on Saren and begged C-Sec for protection. If you take out the 2 years and 2 months(ish) that Shepard was in a coma for in ME2, add on 2 months for the difference between Council years and human years and the time Tali was on the Citadel before you found her, then the events of the entire trilogy, and Shepard being locked up between ME2 and ME3 only took 1 year at the most. I don't buy that.

The N7 Collector's Edition Exclusives. I really want them. Couldn't purchase the pre-order editions because of personal problems and now I really want those exclusives.

Those hair... They are so lifeless! I want my character's hair to flow with the wind or my movement! They must have some pretty powerful hair gels in the future...

I'm also bothered by the fact that pistols and smgs have the same holster animation... I wanted the pistol to be holstered on the right hip, like in the weapon screen...

I'm also bothered by the helmets Turians wear... How do the males take if off and put it on? Unless their fringe is flexible, there is no way they can just slip it on!

Oh, and I can't use femShep's default hair without hacking (which is impossible on my PS3). I actually love that hair...

Right, we see transforming weapons all the time (to allow Krogan humans to wield the same guns) but clearly flexible helmets are beyond even ME technology.

A couple other small things that rustled my jimmies...

No optional helmets for Liara & Javik.

Star Wars promotions: People making massive leaps up the chain of command with no rhyme or reason. Tali is suddenly an Admiral, despite having previously held no military rank that we are aware of, and Ashley jumps from platoon sergeant to field grade officer. I get that the writers probably didn't serve in the Canadian military, but those jumps are kind of like going from mail clerk to CEO overnight in a corporation.

Anderson not looking anything like Anderson.

I suppose that because the quarian structure is at least partially government too (and it's not a human military, so presumably we're just hearing approximate translations) anyone might get put into such a position and it isn't necessarily a direct promote-up-the-hiearchy structure. I'm clutching at straws there though.

Helmets aren't a silly little thing, they're a blatently obvious and stupid-looking thing anytime anyone is in a vacuum. It's as bad as someone going into a shower with some of their clothes still on... Oh.

I was hoping the collector's edition of this game would be called the Reaper's Edition. They could've had it reaper-themed with the materials that came with the game narrated by Harbinger. It'd be pretty funny.

Hackett looks more like Donald Sutherland than Lance Henrickson, is that because Donald is Canadian?

Heh...most of your posts really nailed on the head the things that bothered me a bit in Mass Effect 3. As for other things that bothered me:

Omega:
During Aria T'Loak's "speech" she spasms and acts like she is on ice most of the time. Also her "speech" if you want to call it that, was not really well done.

Mass Effect 3:
Character's heads going around like they are on a top.
While in Liara's room and talking to her for the first time, they don't look at each other after you ask her about Glyph (and instead focus on Glyph...).
Characters eyes always looking to the left or right and not looking at the person they are talking to.
The fact the truck catches fire after running into a ditch during the final end-run. Real trucks (especially those in Mass Effect) wouldn't do that.

Those are what bothered me the most, really.

Don't forget their superior uncle Mr. Black Holey (yes it was pre-order only...but it was still a very amazing gun).

Yeah, I can count, but Eden Prime could have been the beginning of 2183 and the Battle for Earth at the end of 2186 which would make the time frame closer to 4 years, which I can accept.

Humans don't pinch their finger and thumb when they salute; statements like that just prove how fragile your mental state is.

1. How when you are on E24, Purgatory, or the Embassies, the Huerta Memorial Hospital is completely missing (the "bridge" that is the hospital is gone, but the shadow it gives off is visible)

2. before the Citadel Coup, you can already see broken glass on the floor on the Presidium Commons in front of the C-Sec office window that doesn't get shattered until said mission

3. I don't get cabin items like my dog-tags, the Prothean Artifact, my N7 Helmet, etc from ME2 like I got my Space Hamster and Model Ships imported into ME3

4. how there is no cutscene of the Normandy leaving the Citadel's dock

5. The Normandy's Elevator door never opens... Wasn't until the Citadel DLC that I finally learned how the elevator door opened in ME3.

In ME1 they didn't wear it. I think that whole "controversy" Fox News had with it back in the day had something to do with underwear being required n 2 and 3

For some reason, that doesn't apply to Liara.

So you didn't play ME2? The elevator doors open there, and it's unchanged in 3. Only difference is that you actually ride it, which was a nice addition, since it brought back the elevator chatter one last time.

I did play ME2, but the door going into the elevator is different in 3 than 2

In mass effect 2, the door going into the elevator looks like any normal door in the normandy (which the same door design is used elsewhere in the ME3 Normandy), but in 3, the door going into the elevator is different and looks like a flat slab of concrete with a very small orange display.
