Need to keep the games fresh. If I'm outscored to me it only means good games and easy money.

I will generally only leave a successful PUG for 3 reasons:
1.  It's successful because I'm burning through Ops/Missiles/Gels and nobody else is bothering to
2.  We have played the same map/enemy 2x in a row and the host won't change it
3.  I'm just done playing, and I'm leaving to do something else

In a related note, I got kicked from a successful Gold/Collectors game yesterday, for unknown reasons.  I was #2 in points (maybe 5k behind the leader and 25k in front of #3), I helped with all the objectives, I rarely went down and revived everyone else multiple times, and I even clutched one wave.  The only bad thing I did was let myself bleed out on one wave when there was only one enemy left (Collector Captain, not a Praetorian), but the other guys let themselves bleed out multiple times.  I know there are many reasons someone could get kicked, but it was very weird.  EDIT: It's possible they were all friends and wanted a 4th to join, I guess.

Reason #1, laggy host. I have an excellent 100 meg connection, but over the last several months the decreasing player base has resulted in much more frequent dramatic lag. The game is not fun when you get downed by an enemy who has yet to appear on your map. When I host, I might only get 1 or 2 to join, so I mostly move from PUG to PUG.

Several dozens of reasons for leaving; I'm sure only a small subset involve finding the OP irritating.

I rarely play more than a match or two at a time, even if the connection and players are good.

I'll stay in as long as people are willing to play.

But I'll leave after one game if our team dies constantly b/c of stupidity or ppl trying to rambo unsuccessfully.

I have never played with a player so good that they made me want to quit a Gold or Platinum game because the game was boring.  However, I have quit a Silver game when playing with a Demolisher (spamming Arc Grenades) or a Talon (spamming Cain Mines) with Grenade Capacity V, because they did indeed make it boring to play.

1. Laggy host.
2. IRL stuff.
3. I like rotating the player lineup. Keep it fresh.
4. I got invited to play with friends.
5. Going to the troll store.
6. Enemy rotation never changing after a couple matches.
7. Gotta take a brief break.

I like to think the pugs always disappear after every match because they're embarrassed that I tripled the next guy's score even joining after the end of the wave 3 objective with no equipment. :\\

TBH, them leaving doesn't bother me nearly as much as the guys who stick around after scoring 30k to my 250k. Are they totally happy being a leech and a drain on productivity?

I leave [successful] lobbies all the time. Mostly because of lag. I rubberband at least a little bit 9/10 games. Sometimes it's so bad I feel like I'm getting carsick.

Team makeup, too. I mean, people can play however they want and I don't judge them, but I also find the Scorpion and ES spam not very fun to play next to.

Lately I leave because I suck and am embarrassed    Mostly I leave if I need a break or get back to work or to spec a kit or two.

LOL I read this and had to post a comment. This happens to me a lot! Both when I'm pugging and when playing with friends. I often have people in my games who score anywhere between 20k and 30k on U/U/P yet they still wanna stick around and stay in the lobby. It baffles me. I once got really embarrassed by a score of 90k and just had to bolt out of there. I can't imagine what's going through these people's minds. Are they trolling or are they really that bad? A score of 20k on platinum is just unacceptable.

I take drink breaks. Scotch is demanding and if I don't have booze in my body I am worthless.

One question, EXPLOSIONS?! Anyway yeah, scoprion earthquake isn't very pleasant unless a phantom is trying to stab you.

By far the No.1 reason I leave a PUG lobby is because host has set it to a specific map (Glacier - such a boring and overplayed map) or enemy (Geth - WTF is wrong with these people). It's just boring.

However if the map is set to say, Condor and the enemies to Collectors I will be much more likely to stay because it's more fun.

Well sounds more like they're clever. Letting you do all the work and feel like a badass because you score so high, yet they still get the credits. Minimal effort but maximum payout, very efficient.

I should give that a try, anyone willing to carry...eh outscore me? :P

This, so much this. Most players don't even talk on PC. :(

Or when they do, they are mostly morons...

I've never left a lobby because of other players.

1. "Waiting for other players."
2. Lag killed us. Probably just going to restart myself just to be safe.
3. Need a frosty beverage.
4. Have to peeeeeeee!
5. Feeding the cat.
6. Thunderstorm killed my power.
7. PSN logged me out.
8. Meteors, tidal waves, and other weird weather phenomena.

Nope, I get ashamed by being carried (except maybe Dunvi :)) . But to each his own...

No, they like the free credits you carry them to. PUGs are always low on money/consumables, and they see skilled players like you as a way to skew their effort:reward ratio so they can go buy PSPs while they have only two total medigels.

I usually switch lobbies after three or four pugs on the same host (and occasionally restart for lolpeaessthree memory leak), unless I'm playing with a BSNer.
