That's a possibility. :innocent:

I don't think DragonRacer is *ever* tired of talking about turians, let alone the turian sentinel.

On-topic: Sometimes I feel like all I ever play is my t-sent. He was my go-to guy for Operation Lodestar (Insanity), and my preferred character in Gold. He's versatile, a beast with nearly any gun, and really suits my jack-of-all-trades playstyle. When I land in a lobby full of new players (not just in manifest, but also in the way they play... I still remember those days when I spent a lot of time in hard cover from sheer terror), I bring out my turian and hold the line. I spec'd mine for survivability and love it.

You mean I shouldn't wait for him to come rez me while the crab is standing over me?

6/6/6/4/4 Asari Adept with a Talon. What now Boogie? Is that favorable advice?

@Ghost: Justice would be served!:o

Emphasis on "served"

There was a point in time where the Turian Sentinel was criminally slept on. It's good to see him get the respect he deserves these days...

Turian Sentinel Appreciation Thread

As for talk about TA vs Fitness and specifically a 5/6/6/6/3 vs 4/6/6/6/4... obviously for tanking the second is superior to the first since you have more shields and the same DR, the first build has more power damage.

It is more interesting deciding between Rank 6 of TA and Rank 4 of Fitness... like for 6/6/6/5/3 vs 5/6/6/5/4 or 4/6/6/6/4 or whatever... in this instance the higher fitness is better if you don't run a cyclonic or run a low level one, but if you run CM4 then you have more effective shields with 6 in TA and 3 in fitness.

Mainly though, the amount you invest in TA will depend on if you want to go for more Power Damage at Rank 5, and if you want to go for full weapon damage in passive.

I've been guilty of this TMB.

I think the only difficult thing is HOW to build him.  There are so many options.

And nothing really "wrong" either.  It will all come down to playstyle/preferences.

If he had a roll like PIG said, he just might be the perfect all-round character.

I did too... then it turned out to be a spectre of yours that just doesn't really post. I knew it had to be a BSNer at the least if they got close to my score and proved more than competent. Was a refreshing surprise :D

I like their style B)

Max inspired me to take him out for a spin. Without a doubt one of the most versatile kits in the game.

Glad you found a reason to use him again :wizard:

Oh and yes, if he could roll...Jesus.
"Man I wish I could roll like that."

I've played him a lot, just love that guy - Wraith, Crusader and Saber were my favourite weapons on him.
Oh, and did I mention the Arc Pistol?

6/6/6/4/4 is so passé. 6/6/6/5/3 is where it's at now, or 6/6/6/6/6 when I really need to kickass.

My 6/6/6/6/6 build is used specifically when I'm in a lobby with LAK10UK! Oh wait.......

You know who'd benefit from that build? TSent.
BOOM - indestructible.

Turians (and Geth. Gotta love the G-men) are my favorite, yet I don't really care for this one. Much prefer the Soldier. Such a badass...

@GK Yea I'm guilty of not appreciating characters I should have before. I HATED the Paladin for a while but now he's incredibly fun. :-D

Hmm Arc Pistol on the Sentinel? I'll try that sometime..I usually roll with the CSMG/Incendiary combo. Headshots + CSMG + Incendiary + Chain Overload = Yes please

Jesus Christ, people, I'M AT WORK!!!

And when I slip onto BSN, 90% of my time is spent in groups now, anyway. Unfortunately, threads about my beloved do not send up a bat signal to alert me to their presence. Image IPB

But yes, the Turian Sentinel is, honestly, the best all-around kit, in my opinion. Helped me move to Silver, then Gold, then Platinum. Has so many viable builds (I'm partial to 4/6/6/6/4 myself). Good with sooooooo many different weapons (Mattock and Crusader immediately spring to mind as being total awesomesauce in his hands).

Which is why it boggles my mind that I almost never see him used in PUGs. He's my go-to guy for everything. We're practically married by now, and I'm not even joking... there have been plenty of weekends where I spent more time with him than with my own husband. Image IPB

For burst weapons IMO the Valkyrie is better.

I see TSent more often now, but he's still a bit underused by randoms.

I must have run close to half my Gold games on this character by this point, and maybe a third of the time I spent on Silver. I feel like if there was an award for playing one kit a freakish amount, I'd be in the running for TSent.

Most definitely. The first time I saw him use it is one of the very few times I've struggled to find anything to kill. I called hax at first j/k.

I'd go for 4/6/6/6/4 or 5/6/6/6/3(not sure which one gives the better overall health).

Argus seems pretty good on him, but I prefer to use the saber on him with disruptor rounds or AP rounds.
:)

Yea, Saber has always been a favorite of mine since the beginning.

I'm trying to work with the Argus more now though.  It's ROF is about that same as the Saber (3 round burst vs. single shot with the crosshair reset).  So it will do slightly more damage than the Saber, provided you land all three shots.  But with 55% stability, it's pretty easy to do.

i always thought it was the argus' accuracy going bananas after the 1st or 2nd shot that made it nigh unusable along with recoil. Anyways tell us how it goes :wizard:

Pretty much this.
I kinda liked the Argus, but that's because I used it on the TSol.
I hate not being able to land headshots with each bullet of one burst even though I'm pretty sure I'm not bad at headshots.
It's like the AK47 in CS 1.6 just...worse.

He's now my main sentinel. Used to love using the asari sentinel but I prefer the turian. I use him as a weapons class. His overload sucks, I only put 4 points in it and rarely use it. One point in tech armour. Always max out his warp and weapon passives. His 37% weapon damage, 55% weapon stability and 25% armour debuff from warp make him one of the most devastating weapons users in the game and an absolute beast. I like using the lancer or harrier on him (magazine upgrade + high velocity barrel) with incendiary ammo. Beast mode.
