Adept. Seriously.

Biotic all the way man! I like the idea to be able to kill off things without firing a single shot... So adept is my pick!

I played as a Vanguard is Mass Effect but looking back I should have gone for an Adept...because even though I leveled up the shotgun skill I rarely used it; I much prefered the pistol. And seeing as how in ME2 Vanguard's have more ammo-related skills, I think I'll be swapping to the Adept.

I tried a game as the Sentinel and for me it just didn't work. Wasn't my thing. I'm currently playing as an Adept and with the full range of biotic powers at my command I have to say it is truly awesome. If you're going to play as a biotic, go in all the way. Play an Adept.

Not sure, one of my me1 sheps is a soldier so will probably stick with that for my first playthrough

It's got to be the Adept, just for the raw biotic mastery. But I will miss cryo-ammo.

I just find being a Full Techy Or biotic a bit unrealistic in the milatary somtimes
But also i like the powers Vangaurd has, But i just cant pick!
A Vanguard with AR seems like a low lvl Soldier with Biotics so MAYB Vanguard?

I'm all for biotics as well
tough question, though for me it's probably down to either Adept or Sentinel during the early playthroughs... according to Christina (I think it was her, correct me if I'm wrong) Vanguards will die often... and they know why; it's like... oooops I guess I miscalculated that I guess and I want to get better aquainted with ME2 before I embark on charging Vanguard-ness
if I'd absolutely had to pick just one... I'd say Adept

I'd suggest playing as a Vanguard since they're really versatile. Shotguns and pistols work great in combat, and after a while you won't miss fully automatic guns. Also, Vanguards have a good amount of biotic abilities (Lift, Pull, Warp, Barrier) and imo, they're the most important ones (provided you don't feel like you absolutely need Singularity or Stasis). So yeah, in summary, Vanguards are really fun and you should play one!

I'll play an Adept myself and think they're just the best there is, so I think you should play as an Adept aswell. If you wanna have biotic powers, then go all the way :-)

Vanguards are designed to be close-quarters combat masters. They have the critical offensive biotics and access to powerful weaponry that will decimate their foes in the close-range fighting they're designed to handle.

Vanguard. You know you wanna try it out.
Biotics + Soldier
The shotgun is your best friend.

I was having the same quandry. Main was a vanguard, but contemplated going adept for ME2. Forget charge. After looking at the skill selection, I think I'll be sticking with vanguard. I'll trade singularity for cryo and incendiary rounds any day.

Go with an Adept. If biotics are the one thing you must have, no other class does it as well as an Adept.

Vanguard gets charge and is my favorite class
Adept gets cool biotic combos but only has a gun and an SMG
Sentinel is very versatile

Every class gets a heavy pistol, SMG and heavy weapons
Bonus Talents don't transfer over to ME2. But Christina Norman said you can get AR specialization somehow, most likely through quests

Aren’t they the only class that can use the heavy weapons?
That annoyed me about ME1, Balance I know, but if your in the Military, you have a basic understanding about how to look down a gun sight. Like how you cant use the sniper with any other class.
I would like to see a class that is a competently trained solider/biotic, you know spent the few extra years at the academy, after all this man can save the known universe, but still cant use a sniper?
I would be OK with it costing more EXP to level up even, it just doesn’t seem realistic, to not have a few well trained in every area solider and a very powerful biotic in one body, hell you would think it would be a prerequisite.

Im choosing Adept
cause being the funnest class ever in ME1 especially when your on a planets surface and you lift in enemy and then throw them into the atmosphere lol great fun.

I'm fairly certain the Devs have confirmed that all classes can use heavy weapons.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as being charged by two Geth Primes while you're wearing nothing but light armour and then casting singularity and gunning them both down... I main Adept and you should too.
