I remember my first time I was talking with Alistair on the subject. I thought I'd try to be funny and answer the question as if it were meant literally. But in the follow up to the question there was no such option to say that sort of thing. So I was left with poor Alistair thinking my female PC had licked lots of lampposts.

Why Alistair doesn't realize it could be interpreted that way is one of life's mysteries. 

He was raised by the Chantry. It is unlikely he had much in the terms of sex education, including different types of sexual activity. Remember, Wynne assumed that he still thought babies come from "fade fairies" and was actually surprised that he knew otherwise.

So while the rest of us more "worldly" types would think of something entirely different, Alistair lack of sexual experience and being raised in a religous order run by prudish, stern women would explain that.

haha that whole conversation slays me everytime, but it's even more funny when he gets flustered at the end when you ask him "you tell me" (if it's a bad thing). So priceless and this to both male and females.
