 For all of you console players that have "ascended"

How's the transition from controller to keyboard + mouse? Reason I ask this is my PS3 recently gave out on me, and I'm having a bit of difficulty tracking down a new one (strangely enough, all of the stores i've gone to are out of stock) and I've seen copies of ME3 on PC there. Seeing as how I now have a laptop that's capable of running it, if I can't get my hands on a replacement PS3, that's an option.

I haven't descended, but you'll spend a couple months just getting the hang of M&KB, you'll be a leech for friends if you want to start on gold or you'll have to spend your learning curve on bronze. Eww.

It's fine - I went from ps3 to pc. There's a few topics kicking around here about the topic.
Good things would be stuff like less loading times, better graphics. Look around for what sort of keyboard / mouse mappings people are using.

Well, I didn't play Gold when I first started out on PS3, so that's to be expected. As to the keyboard bindings, it's not a sure thing, but if I do wind up getting it for PC, will do.

Just go ahead and get it for the PC, the PS4 is so close to launch that unless you've got other PS3 games you wanna play, it won't be worth it.

It's really not that bad. Took me maybe a couple of days of horribad Bronze stumbling before I got decent with the keyboard+mouse. Now, I'm a somewhat competent Gold player when with BSNers and I do just fine (and top-score quite a bit) in Silver PUGs.

I still stumble over myself on the keyboard, but nothing too terribly dire.

You'll quickly be spoiled, however, by not freezing on Collectors and/or hazard maps, fast load times, and never seeing that blasted "waiting for other players" screen ever again.

What I'm tired of seeing is ending a game and getting trapped on the "waiting for other players" screen until the very end of time. While you hear the scoreboard popping up in the background, but know that you'll never actually get back into the lobby. Where your options are to either quit the lobby or sit there until the game eventually boots you out.

That happens roughly every 2-3 matches on PS3. I cannot tell you how many times we have to rebuild our lobby of friends during a weekend afternoon of gaming solely because of that screen alone (because, ironically, all four players are apt to get it, so no simple solution of the host just re-inviting everybody).

OK, that does sound pretty bad. No one needs to convince me the PC is better (the consol controller does that ), but it does still have some issues.

Yeah, PS3 is just the extra special Twilight Zone version. Because we've got some XBox players now that have jumped over to hang out with us a little bit and judging from their comments, they don't have nearly the issues we do.

We're just so special. Such special little snowflakes.

Ease of ascension depends on prior experience with m+k controls. I've played a bunch of PC games before so it really didn't take me long to get used to it. I'm going to assume that you don't have much experience, Fantasm, so it should take you a little while to get used to it, but not that long at all.

Remap your keys so you are not jumping all over the keyboard. I have scroll down for reload , scroll up for medi gel , scroll wheel push for a power and  2 thumb buttons on mouse for other 2 powers.
Melee, OPs and Missiles can be remapped to 1 2 3 or whatever feels comfortable

Where have you checked?

Gamestop, Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. Each one told me to check back within a week. .

All of these being close to my house, haven't bothered to check anywhere else.

This ME3-deprivation is really getting to me..
