"next time I'll know to expect less"

So much butthurt.

no, simple logic. ME3 had quality issues all around, the ending just overshadowed at first and then highlighted them once it was clear Bioware was not going to really listen to the desires of the fans. Since apparently we are stuck with the SAME head writer and a wholly different team who is responsible for MP at large and omega in the specific of the SP aspect of the game for ME4 then exactly WHY should I not take that approach??

ME1 and ME2 have even bigger issues. It's just fanboyism and butthurt for the endings that makes everyone ignore them

I know they do and I know where ME2&3 improved upon their predecessors, but my point remains, all signs point to a game I personally might not enjoy, so I will keep my expectations low...if I am wrong I will be pleasantly surprised.

of course, your expectations should always be low when it comes to BioWare.BioWare is overrated

I enjoyed Baldur's gate, I enjoyed MDK, I loved ME 1 & 2 and DAO...there was no reason for ny expectations to be low for ME3, now there are 2 precedents one worse than the other telling me I should keep my expectations low, thus I will

Dragon Age 2 wasn't a huge red flag?

as you can see I did not buy it, it lacked NG+ so I passed on it hoping it would be added later, but then it was criticized harshly when it came out so I did not bother, I justified it in my mind by saying it was developed by a wholly different team

how can a game with silent protagonist be considered good.Lol.That's laziness.TES gets a pass because it has many different playable races

My final verdict on Mass Effect 3 can be summorized as: "A sea of missed opportunities and poor priorities" which is considerably  more negative as mine one-line veridct of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

Agreed. Given how much I enjoyed the ending of ME2, I was expecting a similar experience for ME3 and Bioware failed to deliver. They had so much potential with the narrative from the past two games, and squandered the opportunity to deliver. Remember in ME2, when you could assign squadmates certain roles in the suicide mission? Imagine doing something similar at the end of ME3, except on a planetary scale. And then having the appropriate cutscenes attached to each decision. Oh, and don't even get me started on the Deus Ex Machina space magic ending.

I wonder how many of the people from GameTrailers who "disagreed" were being paid from EAWare, or maybe they're just stupid.

Thats why I reduced my game review subscriptions from 3 to 1. Don't know if that 1 is worth the money!!!

To expect less = true. What that means for their "art" they speak so fondly of, its certainly in decline!!!

Right, because no one could possibly disagree with your opinion.

A very bad one at that, but he does try though.

Anyway as for the video - ME3 is long done and I've said my feelings on the game & its ending. I think we need move on now.

I wonder how many who "agreed" were being paid, or pressured, by Retakers. Just as much evidence either way.

Best to leave baseless accusations out of the conversation, and just concentrate on the opinions.

Dragon Age 2 wasn't as good as Origins, but I still thought it was pretty damn good. Might I suggest a few games to those who think it's a "bad" game?

Right, because no one could possibly disagree with your opinion.

They just waffled about art ("Claim: The book is littered with spelling mistakes" - "Well, it's art therefore I disagree") and were counted as disagreeing...

Yeah, as long as you completely ignore common sense: Journalists depend on publisher goodwill to be able to do their work. Conversely, journalists don't need to need cooperation from Retake

One of my philosophy professors once told me that after Tom Sawyer came out it was fashionable for teachers to not correct students' grammar or spelling, because they were afraid it'd stifle creativity. He just sort of shook his head and said, "Thank God we got out of THAT mindset."

Agree. The ending was and still is terrible.

So terrible in fact that I believe it ruins the entire trilogy.

Profound Sadness...

Paid with what, cupcakes?

I'll be worried about that when teh Retake movement starts buying advertising space in gamer magazines.

Journalists depend on an audience, first and foremost, and readership support for the content they put out.

That swings both ways.

Yeah... saying the ending didn't completely suck counted as liking it. But that's how this board works too, isn't it?
