Hi,

I'm making two customised swords for Lelianna and I would have 2 questions (well 3) related to Texture/tint:

1) I'd like to add an effect to the swords  similar to adding a shock coating or an electricity rune, I can give the effect to the "Ice sword" using the IceVFX in the property but that's the only one there seem to be. (so far I turn around by adding a rune slot and inserting an electrical rune but well... it's just cheating).

2) I'd like to change the texture of the Blade, so I could have the hilt normally but get the blade transparent (a bit like the Arcane warrior's last skill). Having the whole sword turning transparent won't prevent me to sleep mind you.

3) So of course the trick would be to combine both effecs on one sword. I could not find any tutorial on texturing, if anyone came across a good one...

Transparency is just a simple alpha mask. You won't find much in the way of general texturing tutorials because it isn't unique to DA. Look on Google for basic tutorials on how to use alpha channels.
