I know some people always defend Shadow Sniper build... but let`s always consider that she is possibly the single worst Infiltrator for sniping.

Erm.... No

The AIU is by far the worst Sniper Infiltrator as she has no ranged attack and no ranged stun/stagger power.  She's a hyper CQC character making her useless for sniping.

I always go sniper on the shadow these days.  Valiant with Extended barrel and a stun ammo like Disruptor or Cryo. (Give me a break, I'm only an average sniper so I need some help from stun)  I've tried with the BW but I find it just too heavy to allow for enough SS.  The Incisor would be excellent but it has too much recoil for the Shadow - best used on a Turian.

For shotty I would probably go with the Pirhana to keep the weight down, or you could go reegar for the full fat cheese.

I disagree.
Using SR is not always about fighting long range. AIU`s superior durability (especially during scoping) & certain synergy with SR & Snap freeze can make her excellent Sniper who covers both close & long range with one SR.

Shadow`s power has absolutely nothing to do with sniping... except of course tactical cloak.
Even if AIU has no 25% SR cloak bonus, I will still consider her to be a better sniper than Shadow.

I must admit I've never actually tried to snipe with the AIU but of all the Infiltrators I would put her last.  That doesn't mean it's not possible.

I would put the HI, QI, GI, SI and especially the TGI well ahead of the AIU.  The TGI is my favourite sniper build and works very well against Geth.

In fact a better option than the AIU for sniper would be the Havoc.  While snap freeze is the same, and stims are near to RM, he benefits from greater damage and weapon stability, with the ability to fly across the map if you spec HS.

Either way, I'm now determined to try sniping with the AIU, and hope I don't have to eat humble pie Image IPB  Watch this space .....

I use the wraith but I hardly fire it with this build. Shadow Strike all the things! Except Atlases and sometimes things on ramps/stairs.

i use the exact same thing except I use jugg shield and and HVB on my lowly
wraith III.

Lately I have been loving the Crusader on her. No need for a smart choke so there is practically no sacrifice for the Omniblade plus it wrecks bosses who you don't want to SS. Almost like having a sniper omniblade... almost.

Hey that sounds fun.  Another kit I need to try out.  I seldom use the Crusader due to the weight, but I do love that gun and this sounds like it could be a winner.

Will have to try this.  I ran a Wraith build with her last night.  A high-level player (challenge points and N7, if it matters) changed kit to a BW Shadow in the lobby.  I figured it would be an interesting comparison: shotty SS Shadow vs. BW Shadow.  He proceeded to wreck face.  I was second or third by the end and he was easily twice the score of second place.

Ok Just took 2 builds out for a spin:

Shadow with Crusader and Omniblade, Juggernaut Shield, Strength enhance III, Cryo IV and Power Efficiency I

Cerberus/Giant/Gold

Hmm. I topped the board until our bad pug all bled out on wave 10 (and I lost the will to solo).  Just seemed too heavy for me, I like to SS and cloak more often.  But not bad, I would give it 7/10.  I think a lighter shotty would be better.

AIU with BW, heavy barrel, and ultralight materials V. SR Gear V, Disruptor IV, and Stabilisation III

Geth/White/Gold

Yet another bad pug.  I don't solo well, and I was clutching a lot of waves (badly).

I was surprised at just how good this build was,  not as much fun as my Shadow Sniper, but still very viable. I take it all back.  I used snap freeze to stagger close Hunters, and RM came in very useful.  Not so much fun but 8/10 for performance.

I've got to the point where I'll try any kits now.  Any other interesting suggestions?

@Hostaman: When I use the Crusader on her I tend to use cloaked heavy melees a lot so its a lil faster than SSing and thus the cooldown is shorter. Also, I mostly use SS for mobility and phantom control. I tend to run a shotgun amp, berserker package, AP ammo and omniblade/damage barrel loadout. Not the best melee shadow there is but a very balanced build.
