Look at this utterly petty whining. Does this make you feel powerful, House? Do you feel like you're hurting BioWare?

Does this make you feel like you have power over BioWare?

And you, Seboist? Do you feel powerful?

I am a consumer, it is my right as a consumer to voice my displessure with a product or the series if it is not up to quality. The bsn is a forum, not a I want to kiss Biowares ass.

My G, you sound like a Japanese cartoon character right now.

And not even, like, Cowboy Bebop, either.

Like Naruto or something.

If they had the writing talent of a five year old you wouldn't be here right now passionately arguing for it.

It's counter-intuitive. B)

There wouldn't even be a forum if they had the writing talent of a five year old, so I wouldn't be here

And there's also the older Bioware games that are written better than the current ones and I actually am hoping that DA:I has better writing, but that hope isn't that big

Well then we are arguing over nothing, yes their writing as of late has left more than a few wanting but I'd still put it as better than 90% (so I don't anger the literary masters here) of the stuff out there and they do deliver on presentation(ending aside).

I wish this place would stop being so negative it starts to believe the hyperbole it uses. <_<

It's not even 90%

Is there a lot of negativity here, yes. But most of it are legit criticism which is one of the things you do one a game forum

your so called "question" was nothing but you kissing up to Bioware and trying to defend crap, like you always do. If your so mighty, teach me the arts of storytelling. You seem to know everything about it mister smartypants.

I'd say it is.

Finding actually good, compelling stories with good characters are a hard find; especially one's that craft their own universes and don't just borrow someone elses.

I'm not defending anything. Did my post even say anything about Mass Effect being good? No. Just a simple question.

Does this make you feel powerful?

Do your posts make you feel powerful?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your post makes it look that because Bioware makes RPG type games their storytelling is better than other games that isn't RPG

Here's what's going on, Hunter. It's really quite simple.

Basic logic tells us that only someone who is insane or monumentally stupid would spend significant time complaining about a work of fiction they supposedly find worthless. We've all seen crap movies and played crap games. Obviously we don't devote our lives to them. Clearly, something else is going on.

House is upset and frustrated because he's powerless. Because whatever Mass Effect is and will be is completely out of his control. He's completely helpless. Like an infant. And it frustrates him to no end that something he cares about so much is out of his control and has disappointed him.

So what does he do? He tries to deny that power. He makes these clumsy little posts and ridiculous complaints. Because if he convinces himself that Mass Effect is crap by shouting it enough, he's free. BioWare no longer has any power over him.

I made no mention of RPG or simply Bioware. We do have quality storytellers in 2k games (Bioshock, System Shock), Naughty Dog (Uncharted, Last of Us) and Bioware (snark go elsewhere). But that's were the buck stops.'

I'm not holding my breath on ActiBlizzard or anyone else to do anything amazing.
