David, are you suggesting that those who still enjoy the Mass Effect games are indoctrinated by BioWare? I mean, you're talking a whole lot about forcible intellectual power here.

What the hell are you talking about?

No. When did I say anything even remotely suggesting that?

What I said is that people who spend significant amounts of time posting ridiculous insults clearly have an ulterior motive.

So you have a ulterior motive? All makes sense now.

Finished the comic, liked it. A nice intro into Brooks's storyline, didn't see the ending coming either.

So Cerberus being the Illuminati is fine?

Right, this "power". Why is it such a prevalent and uncontrollable force that dissenters need to defy?

Forgive me but the comic didn't give off that impression when I read it.

Right, this "power". Why is it such a prevalent and uncontrollable force that dissenters need to defy?

Players care immensely about the game, and BioWare produces it. That's power. BioWare has significant 'control' over the emotions of a lot of people by the content they produce. It's uncontrollable (by us) because we don't get a say in how the stories we love turn out.

Why do they defy it? Why do people try and defy the power of anyone or anything they don't like? House is upset about how things in the series turned out. He's frustrated and disappointed with BioWare. Nobody wants to be under the thumb of someone they're anrgy with. So they try and defy it.

Once more, David is getting on his soap box about something that only he could think up and is, as usual, completely irrelevant to any sensible discussion or state of mind. And he derailed yet another thread with more spam.

Reported.

What are you talking about? This is David at his best. When he's not derailing threads in the DA subforums, he's here battling the ME "haters" and keeping them under EA's thumb.

In all honesty, don't report David. I would hate to see him eventually get permabanned. He keeps this place interesting. He is the wind beneath the BSN's wings. W/o him, this place crashes.B)

I didn't like the comic much, but it more or less confirmed my suspicion that Foundation is meant to fill in back story from the trilogy rather than set the scene for the next game. Hopefully future issues will improve.

Yes. And when my erotic fanfiction starring Allers and TIM is complete, you and all of BSN shall know true power.

Quote from next issues plotline: "Urdnot Wrex - one of the most dangerous mercenaries in the galaxy—crosses paths with a mysterious secret agent in this explosive adventure!"

Brooks or Kasumi maybe?

Actually if I had to guess each one is about events that were glossed over in ME1.

I think it's Wrex vs Aria on that Space Station which would be awesome to finally hear. :o

I think the idea is that we see Brooks appearing all over the galaxy, just happening to cross paths with almost all of the characters Shepard knew from the trilogy. The early promotions for Foundation said it dealt with the ongoing story of a Citadel DLC character (i.e. Brooks, based on the first issue).

Though I'm not really sure how issue 3 about Ashley on Eden Prime or issue 4 about Kaidan at BAaT camp can conceivably tie into Brooks' story, at all.

Actually, maybe the Citadel DLC reference only applied to the first issue, and the comic series is really just a bunch of totally unrelated and unlinked backstories for various characters?

That would make more sense.

This comic pretty much shows where ME setting is going under Super Mac. Another set of useless badly written prequel stories without any kind or rational thought.

Space killer with a KNIFE (at least she is not a ****ing ninja) also HAND CLAWS!!! what next? giant power hammers? oh..wait
Space miners use BAGS to mine in space, cos more drama
Child for sure knows how to pilot a shuttle (he is also stealth guru and can smuggle a gun to the space port)

Guys stop doin this! Take a look at the recent dragon age comic series. Much better than ME one, interesting art, good dialogues, story keeps moving forward. Oh yeah i forgot dragon age wasn't the one that ended like three colored bs rainbow. To bad you can only do prequels now. Just pathetic.

Cerberus again? I find Bioware's lack of imagination disturbing.

Lol, sounds so much like my brother after he took a class in psychology. Annoying teenage intellectualism at its best.

Are you implying that David is merely a college student that took a few courses and now thinks he knows everything?

Mass Effect is the kind of game with an all female race of hot blue space babes.

It was already pandering to 13 year olds.

Please, Mass Effect is easily more than that. Sure it *has* Asari strip clubs, but the game, the plot, the characters, the whole universe is hardly focused around them.

Let me put it this way. Tali is an intriguing person beneath that helmet, a very well written character. The fact that she is also endowed with "dem hips" is forgiven.

EDIT : And the fact that they chose to just grab off a photo off the Web and "Tali-fy" it speaks of either Bioware's lack of resources or lack of respect, for their own work first and foremost and for the people who enjoyed their work. You don't freaking write Tali the way you do and then just grab a photo off Google... and at least never apologize for lack of time/money. You just don't.

An all male race doesnt make sense because the female creates a child.  a species needs females to propogate.  the only thing you can criticize bioware for is making them all really hot looking.

Tell that to snails and most other hermaphroditic animals. And sea horses.

i'm pretty sure the male seahorse just carries the eggs, they dont create them.

plus think about this: a homosapien type species naturally has breasts so the mother can feed the young, being a biped the child would not be able to reach the mother so she must hold it.

this is why asari dont bother me.  (the only thing that bothers me is how in me2 bioware crammed in some bull**** about "they all become badasses or strippers until they get old and become sages")

also, liara in me1 tells you that gender has no REAL meaning to her species, they just naturally look like women because that gives them enough natural body parts to care for children and birth them in the early stages.
