since last update I get continuous crashes (well, not so frequent, let's say once every 3-4 hours), before patch I played for weeks without a single issue, so I'm asking if there's a way to uninstall the patch and play with previous version?

thanks :]

p.s. freezes are only with DA, all other games don't have this problem.

Yes. Clear cache is system settings, memory then hit Y on the hard drive screen and scroll to clear system cache. This will mean redownloading patches for other games but doesn't affect saved games or dlc in memory. You used to have to go XX LB RB XX but I think everone has that XBL update. Gluck

I already got the suggestion to clear system cache, and of course I did it (with no result as game version didn't change and crashes still occur). but if I'm not wrong system cache is just a place where temporary system items are stored by xbox, similar to Windows one. Programs updates and patches aren't usually stored there (at least on computers).

you also need to "recover" your gamertag.
it resynchs the game with the servers.
i did it the day after the update along with the clear cache, and havent had an issue since.
rto plays fine.

How do you reocover your gamertag?  I am really new to this stuff, especially an X-box 360 and have no idea. A step-by-step would be really helpful if you would be so kind.

go to your dashboard,My Xbox.
go once to your right, push the A button on your controller.
go to the bottom and select Switch Profile.
go right three times and there it is :)

sadly I tried to do this and it didn;t work. I first cleared cache and then recovered gamertag and the game didnt even offer to update. and when i loaded the game my specializations were still locked. anyone else have any other ideas.

you then need to reload a save from before the update, make a new save then exit to dashboard and enter the game again, worked for me anyway

Ok, here is my situation...I am on my 4th play through. My wife is on her 2nd. I have RTO and the infected patch still...thus, locking all my specializations (and hers). I am not too concerned about the specializations since it is my 4th play through. But, I am concerned about my wife's. Neither of us have an "old save" from before the bad update patch...so, are we basically screwed and should just play on? Or, should I go ahead and clear the cache? Will clearing the cache allow her to have her specializations unlocked during her future play throughs?

I am sure BioWare is working on this...but with ME2, I am sure they have their hands pretty tied up at the moment :(

The solution I posted (and others have worked out) in other posts work fine. The basic gist of the thing is actually rather simple. The "spec" file, if you will, is thankfully stored somewhere out in internet land as well as on your Xbox. All you gotta do is clear the cache to remove the offending update and trick the game into going to search for this "file". Either you or your wife can load a save (apparently not an option for you) or just start a new char and mess around for 30 min. I don't know the exact time but it doesn't take long. You're just waiting for the game to have occasion to contact the servers and sync up your file, it happens in the background. Just play for a few, save your game, and quit. The next time you boot up the game everything should have come back. Simple...

Frankly, you might even be able to play with a post-patch save and just save and quit after playing for a few but I can't test that so don't know if it'll work. Old save or new char. seems to work for others.

I bit the bullet and cleared my cache.  Fortunately, everything is fine.  All my specializations have returned even though I didn't have a save point that was prior to the update.  All I did was cleared the cache...bought a manual from a merchant to unlock a specialization...saved...exit game...load save...and moved forward.  All previous unlocks that got locked are now unlocked.  My wife's have been unlocked again, as well.  She didn't have to do anything....just got on and played (after I cleared the cache and whatnot).   Hope this bit of info helps others who may be in the same situation as us....

I've tried this fix, but I can't tell if it's working. I do not have a save prior to the patch, but have 2 character saves. In my most current, I'm too far in, to change. I have purchased the Ranger Tome and the specialization is supposed to be unlocked. I'm hoping I'll be able to find out if it unlocked on my next level up. Does anyone know if these locked specializations should show up on my next level up? I have points to buy them, but since they've been locked, I cannot spend my point on them.

It did not unlock the achievements that I should rightfully have. From my playthrough I should have gotten the Recruiter achievement, but didn't. I went back to that old save but it still did not give it to me. However, I was missing a party member at the end of the game (that left), which was my earliest save.

The CRACK???

Did you just openly admit to piracy on the developer's own forum? GENIUS!
