Its bad of me to ask and really bad of me to repost, but I wonder if anyone can help me get a ME3 xbsav (or pcsav!) which is a few missions before the Quarian introduction, which has the Tali romance from ME2? (has to be a ME3 sav file)

I asked on the story forum, but it probably wasn't the most appropriate place to ask.

Here is the link to the long winded post if anyone is interested exactly why I'm making such a demanding request (when I should be able to do it myself!?)

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/17033681

Cheers!

Bob

Where exactly do you want the file? I should be going through Priority: Tuchanka and Priority: The Citadel II tonight. So either of those would be quicker. If you want just prior to Tali's introduction, I ought to be there tomorrow or so. I am doing a Femshep file but modding genders and a Tali should be easy enough. Any specific choices you want or just Paragon? And since I'll do a face morph. You have a Sheploo face code preference or just the default? Also want to keep Vanguard or go a different class?

You are a life saver! Yeah, paragon, vanguard, anything before the citadel would be perfect. I've wasted 20 hours faffing around and really didn't want to start again. I'd prefer a male shepherd with a default face if you don't mind too much. I truly am grateful, I would happily do this myself, but I'm not using a PC so I can't mess around in the gibbed save editor.

Thank you again so much, Bourne!

Alrighty, took me a little longer than I thought, but here we go. I did a test run and everything worked without a hitch. The only thing I am uncertain about is DLC dependency. I have everything and that may make the file uncooperative unless you have said DLCs. Now I did wipe them using Gibbed. Unfortunately, I cannot test that, lest it re-adds everything. Hopefully, it does the trick though. Otherwise, you should be full Paragon, with a Tali romance and a few renegade options I couldn't get rid off. The file is left off just before Priority: Tuchanka.

Btw, I stuff a 500k credit bonus on it because, why not?

Lemme know if it works. I can also make it a PC file if need be.

Thank you so much Bourne, you're exceptional - it works perfectly! The dlc issue is not a problem, it imported fine, although i seem to have aquited a robot dog, which cool. (And I don't have the dlc) Oh and I just encountered Grunt, which I didn't on the non-ME2 imported game, a pleasant surprise. One funny quirk is that it locked me out of both Normandy bathrooms - presumably because you swapped genders in the save editor, no loss, haha. I'm certain the Tali thing will unlock fine, because the Grunt one did. It's just unfortunate I don't have much time this weekend to play!

Thank you so much again Bourne, you didn't have to go to all that effort, but you did and it humbles me.

Cheers, mate!

Haha, I suppose the Collector's edition stuff isn't counting as DLC. If you like I can toss it back in, although only the Valiant and Hurricane are worth much. All the ME2 squad, DLC included, are alive and kicking. Although, I finished Kasumi and Jack's missions.

Anywho, glad it worked! Enjoy! ^_^

Edit:

long story short, I still needed to tweak some bits and I 'legitimately acquired' parallels 8 then 'legitimately acquired' windows 7, then installed them both, then the windows gibbed save editor and tweaked the Xbsav file, all for the sake of this mass effect 2 story :P damn bioware! Haha!
