Personally I have no problem with speed running but if used correctly rockets completely trivialize the game even on Platinum. What they were originally intended for was for emergency use which would keep the team from wiping. If they wanted to retain missiles but not trivialize the difficulty just don't remove enemies killed from missiling from the spawn budget. You still have a panic button to save the mission but still have to take down the budget fairly.
Or how about you lose credits? 5-10k for every rocket out of your personal account.
Air Scrub pls
You know you need to spend credits to refill them, so you already lose at least 5k
Every Cobra used should add 30 seconds to your total time

Wouldn't fix anything. I think the spawn budget not being reduced by missiles would solve a lot though.Air Quotes wrote...

Would be more amusing if they didn't award any xp points, like Backfire...NuclearTech76 wrote...

By the way, missiles were fine at the beginning, when people didn't have maxed out manifests, but AC completely blew them out of proportion.
No pun intended.
If they were capped at 1 it would be decent.

That would solve the score whoring aspect but people would still speed run to maximize credits per unit time.capn233 wrote...

I honestly have no issue with people speed running and using rockets to make games fast, especially with friends that agree to it. It would cut down on random objective and extract rockets that insta-spawn a group of units right next to me though.NuclearTech76 wrote...

and why does score whoring needs to be solved? Sounds like those call of duty scrubs who have barely a 1.0 kd ratio who preaches wins ratio over kd ratio when they know the only reason they win is someone on their team is carrying their scrub behind by KILLING everything.
this thread needs a wave 11 missile to the face, and I am pressing up on my d-pad as we speak

Those are the best rockets. The Prime stagger locking you makes it more interesting
