I love them, but bad ones are more useless then a stationary drell

They work best with a buddy priming, either area reave or snap freeze/flamer.

Then the results are incredible. I know two people who completely dominate with it in Gold and one who's not afraid to take it to Platinum. I don't play him often but he's always fun when I do but I wouldn't PUG on my own with it. I will with a friend along, as the host of course.

No. They make too much noise. The only thing more annoying is the flamer sound.

If I'm hosting and there's either a drelldept or justicar. Now that's fun

Pug... no. With friends using 3 justicars -- 3 bubbles and 3 reave spams priming whatever is not in the 3 big ass bubbles... novagaurd to detonate it all nonstop = lol bioboom fiesta!

See, I'm of the opinion that the noise he makes is more realistic than not making any grunts. I mean, if you were actually in a position where you had to fight for your life, I don't think you would be quietly charging and pounding the ground without making a squeak. Surely, if you were putting all your effort into charging/using nova on an enemy, you would be making at least some  grunts/noises regardless of how stupid they sound.

Flamer's can go to hell. Nothing is more annoying than a flamer spammer. At least it takes some  skill to charge/nova/dodge and be a good vanguard instead of just holding the power button and watching everything melt.

I don't mind playing with Novaguards.

Sometimes I'll just switch to my Justicar or N7 Paladin and we'll make explosions all game.

Good Novaguards are good.

Bad Novaguards are bad.

Most Novaguards I have seen are bad.

Pugs are pugs, I don't expect them to play well and I enjoy being the hero and saving them. Also last time I hosted a pug I took my novaguard thinking it would help me carrying the game but I got synced twice and outscored by the batarian slasher.

The same could be said of players in general.

This. Last night, I went through 6 different gold PUG lobby's before I found one where everyone had gear equipped with decent level weapons/characters.

Same here, I enjoy following around flamer spammer's with my novaguard and killing everything they start attacking. Usually makes em quit pretty fast.

If they ragequit because of a novaguard setting off FE's for them, they are a retarded pyjak and should be eaten.

makes me wish novaguard had inferno grenades instead of shockwave. Would have a lot more synergy.

I love to Novaguard. It was the first character who helped me gain confidence leading PUGs way back in my newb days.

I missed the novaguard boat; I can't do as much with him as I should be able to.

No, I hate novguards and will often leave a match if one is in the group. They are simplyannoying characters, not necessarily the players fault, just the make up of the character, their constant rawrs and their penchant for being players that are all over the map and getting killed as often as being reasonably good.

This. Completely.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with novaguards on my team. 90% of them run off and die by themselves. The other 10% are good enough to stay alive but think they have to kill everything on the map by themselves, to the point where I spend most of the match shooting them in the back of the head.

The majority of them also seem to think they don't have to do objectives with the rest of the team.

And this is before we get to that god-awful noise. By far the worst sound effect in the game. It grates on my nerves something fierce.

I know there are good players in this game who play novaguards. I just don't think I've ever met one in a pug. So, yeah, I usually leave a lobby if one joins or after the match. I don't think I've ever quit in mid-match because of one though.

Rather have annihilation field tbh.  Primes for charge/nova explosions, replenishes shields on nova if enemy has shields.

Its not that they have to kill everything per say, they just cannot stop doing the Charge/Nova combo bc if they do they will probably die. It is the 'charge to survive' mentality.

I love Novaguards.

Never usually ever play the Novaguard, especially for the fact that I'm never usually playing a hosted game of mine.

But, if I am hosting, I tend to prefer the Drellguard and play him a lot more. But, could care less about what teammates pick as characters as long as they know which weapons work well with them and don't go off and die repeatedly which I've seen Novaguards do a lot in pug matches.

If the PuG uses HMV, then I might leave, because I hate the HMV. If it's a HFV, then I'll prime everything. When a friend plays Novaguard I have no problem with it, because they know how to play.
