i have never been able to take anyone that relies on the GI (or makes endless threads touting its superiority) seriously

I was under the impression that the GI was one of the more balanced characters, as far as Infiltrators go.

What with doing the best damage but taking less hits to die and everything. You know, skill-gate and all that jazz.

Say your out of medi gel and have to solo a plat wave.. level 10 hack out in the open..

If you ever find yourself in this scenario it's because you're a scrub, and it won't matter what class you're playing

I'd say the GI is one of the best designed, with powers that synergize better as well as any other kit in the game.  Unfortunately this make him unbalanced with respect to most other kits in the game.

Both kits are testaments to the failure of design that is Tactical damage bonus. 

We really need to nerf cloak.  Then everything would be okay.

Far superior? No, not since Geth Scanner.

If he's noticeably better it's only because the lolhurrdurricane loves rof and accuracy bonuses.

No, we've already discussed that the QME with incinerate is better than the QMI with cloak. Cloak is not OP'ed.
