Yes. It is obvious nobody knows what I'm talking about, isn't it?

Tell me. What speeds exactly do you think meteorites generally enter atmosphere? What speeds do you think spaceships would likely enter atmosphere? What speeds do you think spaceships have entered atmosphere at?

A human dropped from orbit withoit a means of deceleration would fall at terminal velocity and would be a pile of goo upon landing.

If I dropped a human in full plate armor out of an airplane with no means of deceleration. What would happen David?

Really? So the countless incidents of skydivers hitting the ground at terminal velocity and very clearly not being 'turned into goo' are...what, then?

Shepard and the Normandy are moving at the same speed in relation to the planet, though (okay, so maybe Shepard's moving away from the Normandy at a few meters per second). Their mass is irrelevant to their velocity.

Try again.

Is the Normandy entering atmosphere? No. Is there indication the Normandy is moving towards the planet significantly at all? No.

Try again.

They usually survive because they landed in something that cushined their fall like snow.  Shepard hit ice and rock.

.  So you didnt play Normansy Crash Scene DLC I take it.  It crashed onto the same planet as Shepard.

I'm not talking about surviving at all. I'm talking about being 'turned into goo.' Are bodies turned into goo when they hit the ground, Steelcan?

Even if that wasn't the case, your argument is incredibly silly, Steelcan. Do you have any proof whatsoever that Shepard hit 'ice and rock' and not slow? Any at all? Did this knowledge come to you in a dream?

Normandy crash site DLC. Shepard's helmet (assuming it's the one he was wearing at time of death) is found among the wreckage. Care to explain how that's possible for him to end up in the same place as the ship on the planet's surface if Shepard was moving away from the Normandy while both were in a decaying orbit around it?

Personally, I'm more of the opinion that Shepard never hit the planet at all. Miranda's logs talk about damage from long-term vacuum exposure and subzero temperatures, not from hitting a mountainside at eighty meters per second.

Eventually, yes. Does that mean it was moving towards the planet at a high speed the moment Shepard was ejected?

.  I can quote a comic or Jacob.  Which do you prefer?  And the planet he hit is made out of it, the Normandy landed on it.

That's mostly where your knowledge comes from

And you apparently never played the Normandy Crash site DLC or paid attention to Jacob in ME2 where he said Shepard was just meat and tubes

'Why wouldn't it be'

That seems to be the very basis of this incredibly silly argument.

I've got a great idea, Steelcan. You should become a lawyer. A prosecutor. Accuse people of murder. When people point out that you have no conclusive evidence, say "Why wouldn't he have murdered him?"

No whining about false analogies. That is exactly what's going on.

.  What evidence do you have that the Normandy would not be moving at a very fast rate into the atmosphere?

Ill ignore the ad hominem.

I don't need an answer to such a question. The only thing I need to do is show that you don't have conclusive proof.

And this is laughably far from anything remotely close.

"Bob killed Alice. What evidence do you have that Bob didn't kill Alice?"

What would a laywer say to that, Steelcan?

If a remarkable event happened that managed to preserve Shepard's body then it should have been smashed to pieces, liquified, or simply destroyed by expsoure to the methane/ammonia atmosphere of the planet, then it should be remarked upon.

If something happened that preserved Shepard's brain when irreversible brain damage should start taking place within minutes of oxygenation stopping, it should be mentioned

In short, how is such a miraculous event possible without resorting to magic that even Bioware's own fantasy IP can't do?
