Unfortunately due to my complete lack of social confidence and general awakwardness around other people
I just don't send invites :mellow:

On the bright side though, it does mean I don't have to worry about invite etiquette :wizard:

anytime is the proper time, sending an invite compliments the person.. I'll only ninja join if I was invited to a game but couldn't make it for a couple minutes...

Not when it's on platinum and not when I'm on wave 8.'

The store got me yesterday. Venom II, Geth Spitfire III, Harrier IX.

No Lancer.

Well I haven't gotten a Venom and I don't go round crying about it :P

My Lancer is sitting at I since I unlocked it like 10 years ago, same goes for my PPR. Both useless on anything above silver...

Tell ya what, when you unlock the Lancer I we both will go pug it with the BotB thingy and our Lancers I, just for the sake of it B)

Spam invites and send flaming messages questioning whether his/her parents were ever married if they don't join within 5 minutes. If they send a message back with some lame excuse, then reply that you would rather play with your much nicer virtual friends anyway, not some excuse making lame-ass scrub (p.s., I've learned all my online etiquette from xbox live).

I will usually only send an invite if a person messages me asking for a spot. I personally don't mind getting invites out of the blue, though, I'll often try to join unless I'm already with a group.

The perfect time to send an invite is ANYTIME.

Doesn't matter if they are playing other games. It let's them know that you want to play. That way if they feel like playing they can come join or maybe they weren't on b/c they didn't want to play by themselves and now they'll hop on.

Just don't spam invites and you're good.

Well, back when I was capable of playing, I'd send out a bunch of invites and wait for someone to get back to me. What usually happened was, I'd get an invite to someone else's group, and hours later I'd get messages back from people I had invited earlier saying "full game".

Or I'd never hear anything back and start pugging

Player1: Want to join my lobby?
     Option 1
     Player2: Sure
     Player1: *Send invite*

     Option 2
     Player2: No ---> *Provide excuse if you don't want to look like an ass-hat*
     Player1: Ok
     *Player 1 ceases messaging Player 2*

Player 1 gives Player 2 ample time to respond to the first message before sending another, alongside letting them know if others are in the lobby and what difficulty they plan on playing.

Why is this so hard? I made the mistake of accepting a friend request from a random PUG yesterday, and the dude/dudette/whatever kept spamming my inbox with invites. Every message I sent explaining why I couldn't come right that second were replied to with more invites. Insta-unfriended.

This is Origin etiquette as far as it goes for me.

- I never ninja join and have short tolerance for people ninja joining my lobby.

Tis true. She threatened to spank us a few times for that.

@oO Stryfe Oo:
Yeah. Some people can go a bit far with the spam-box treament.

@Crivante:
llooll I was willing to accept/hope that was a typo. Still worth a chuckle, though.
