I think it would provide a nice link between old games and new if we could revisit an area we already knew, combined with the excitement of finding a new one. If you had to choose one each, where would they be?

For old I'd like to go back to the Nos Astra hub from ME2 (What a beautiful city, I'd like to see more of it please) :)

New I'd like to see a hub aboard the Destiny Ascension, at least for part of the game. Failing that it would be nice to see Palaven, a place we've barely seen at all, apart from it being on fire

The Citadel of course

If they'd go back to the way ME1 handled the game, I'd like to see Irune, Dekunna, and Kahje hubs.

Palaven would be cool

Silversun strip or original from ME1?

Can I be greedy and have both?

It can be an all new section of it for all I care, as long as I can visit my favorite space station :)

I'd like to visit the wards more than the Presidium though, but not be a microscopic hub like ME2's Citadel hub. So maybe a larger hub featuring both the Presidium as well as parts of the wards including areas similar to Silversun

Just a few ideas for planets and hubs to visit

-Arcturus Station (re-built or the old one, dependiing on the timeline)
- Gagarin Station (Jump zero)
-Palaven,
-the Yahg Homeworld,
-the Leviathans' planets of origin
-The systems located in "dark space", beyond the Milky Way.
-Earth
-Kahje, the Hanar/Drell home planet

Great list, but I wouldn't think there'd be systems in dark space, since systems usually imply stars, and stars aren't in dark space

I always thought they were calling the area beyond the Milky Way boundaries as "dark space" because it was "unknown", not because of the lack of other galaxies, stars and systems. I may be wrong, but I always thought this was the reason behind the name.

I see a pretty slick downscale sci-fi game set between Noveria, Omega, and Terra Nova.

I'd quite like somewhere on Earth to be a hub next time around.

Also the Citadel of course.

Tuchanka could be interesting, depending on how they handle the Krogan. Actually, having alternate versions of Tuchanka depending on whether the Krogan settled and rebuilt or stuck to their warmongering ways would be cool, if unrealistic.

And I'd like to see a Turian world when it's not being torn to shreds. Same for Salarian, I really liked Sur'Kesh.

I'd like to see Arcturus Station and probably more of Earth.

To put it lightly, I don't think London showed off what Earth of 2185 should actually look like.

Nope, dark space (which is also callged intergalatic space and in some instances just voids) is exactly that, it is the large void between galaxies where there are little to no stars (usually only rogues that have been flung from their systems/galaxies or something of that sort, but they are very rare), and thus is very dark, and this space makes up the majority of the universe.

As for places I would like to see, more of Omega, more of Illium, I would really like to see more human colonies too. Maybe actually go to Terra Nova, or Elysium, open up Bekenstein (the humans Illium). Hell, I would like to see more Earth and Mars. I would love to see ACTUAL Palaven and actual cities and population centers on Surkesh. Maybe visit some more ancient ruins on Tuchanka too, or a place where they are doing a dig/excavating an ancient Krogan city.

Lemme think...

-Citadel. This one's kind of obvious.
-Omega. There's still so much of the residential/commercial areas of Omega to see.
-Kahje. We didn't get to see the Hanar homeworld in ME3, and I'm not 100% sure we even found it scanning the galaxy like we did with Kar'shan, Dekkuna, Irune or Heshtok, the homeworlds of the Batarians, Elcor, Volus and Vorcha respectively. And while I would still want to see these planets first-hand (I.E., actually see what their architecture/homeworlds look like), let's go with the world we didn't see at all first and work from there.

It only takes the reapers a few days to make it look like it does now

joking aside it'd be awesome to see an earth city all futured up

I think the Citadel will be a given. It has to be, doesn't it?

I know what i would want and when i want the game setting, thing is how powerful is the frostbite gonna be, if they can put map sizes in equal to 64 player maps in bf3 within mass effect then omg thats a world changer. One thing i would love though is the lifts from ME1 back, to hear the news as im traveling up and down. I know some dont like it but thats why they invented stairs, go take em.

hm...

well i want:

- the citadell (it is just part of every game and should IMHO be in the next one)
- omega (i love it and if my character has to do some blackmarket stuff, what place would be better?)
- the homeworlds of the major species (starting with Thessia, Palaven and Surkesh - and even Earth and Ranoch)
- arcturus station :) (fleet headquarters - that would be a magnificent sight IMHO)
- and maybe one or two more (i loved that ice-world (was that Noverria?) with the dangerous laboratories for corporations on it)

greetings LAX
ps: why that many? - firstly: i want a long game once again (not something that is done in under 20 hours - i would want more playtime then DA:O (with all side-missions, DLC etc.) if possible) and secondly i want to see how the races we meet live on their worlds...i mean we have not seen all that much concerning Turians and Salarians, Ranoch was not even inhabited (biological beings), we have only been to Earth in ME3 (and we did not see much) etc. :)

The Hannar home-world.
I imagine they must have some area where they can easily interact with land dwelling species. An under water hub, consisting of corridors and halls, completely made of Glass and areas where the ocean water is just held back by Mass Effect fields (so that the Hannar can pass through and go smoothly from a water to an air environment).
Through all these windows, you can see dozens of Hannar in their natural environment and they would behave completely different then we know them. Like actual jellyfish, they could change their shape smoothly in water and as Thane described them, they would be fast and agile, glowing luminescent in ll sorts of colors as they talk amongst themselves.
As you decend the levels of the hub, the surface light outside grows dimmer, being a blue-green glow in the upper levels and almost complete darkness (except for the Hannar) on the lower ones.

I always thought the Hannar have a vast, yet untapped potential as a truly exotic alien species.

That sounds fantastic; especially the dark, lower levels - bio-luminescence, anyone?

As much as I like Illium, Omega and the Citadel, it would be boring if you kept visiting the same three hubs over and over again. I'm guessing the Citadel will most likely return as the main hub in the game, so I'm hoping we'll get a second hub that is a new place we haven't visited.

How about Elysium?

Or some Asari/Turian/Salarian colony world that we haven't heard of before. The galaxy is a big place.

EDIT: The Hanar city as imagined by MrFob sounds awesome.

 Hmm
I think I would be satisifed with just Citadel making a return. Its iconic design cannot be forgotten, the goodwill it symbolizes with an attempt at united galaxy is inspiring to any version of the game. And if the next game is set in the future thats even more important.

Hopefully that leaves room for new sights. Irune would be top of my list. The little Volus are merchants, and maybe have several black market shops that change items fairly quickly. Of course the poisonous cloud of air around Irune might also be so dense it covers the ground, and makes draw-distance low ;)

It would be boring if we only ever visited the same hubs and no new ones granted. However imo it'd be nice to go somewhere familiar as well as new places.  Not sure about Omega though, we've seen quite a bit of it now.

ME2 had 3 hubs apart from the Citadel, although Tuchanka wasn't that big. Fingers crossed for more in next ME.

Mr Fob your idea is brilliant, Kahje seems very popular on here. Come on Bioware, DO IT.

Citadel, Omega, a rebuilt Arcturus, maybe Palevan (the actual planet not the moon), Thessia, and I would like to say Tuchanka (it looks good in the epilogues where they are rebuilding Krogan civilization) but there are going to be people that sabotaged the cure so that may not work.

new hub
-thessia (i say this as new because we saw like absolutely nothing of it the first time around)
-a different earth colony?
-rebuilt rannoch (assuming sequel here, with geth & quarians alive)
Old hub
-omega (different parts, maybe with a redone afterlife)
-the citadel (and more like the citadel from me1, with different parts never seen before)
