I'd rate all the human kits as somewhere in the 5-7 range.


Perhaps Human Soldier yes, but I never really seen heaps of threads praising the other vanilla kits. Most BSN think they are good, but there is no illusion that they are god-tier.

I like them all quite a bit. I've had torrid love affairs with HSol, the HSent, the HI, and even the HE though for not quite as long as the others. I'm quite the **** for vanilla humans, actually. I also had a very long romance with the BF3 soldier.

I'm just willing to admit none of them are actually top tier kits.

It doesn't matter. Claiming that RoF doesn't count as a multiplicative bonus because it doesn't work with every loadout  is as misleading as claiming the Geth racial bonus isn't a multiplicative damage bonus because it doesn't work with every loadout.

Strange thread from a good player on my friends list that is a cool interwebz friend.

I respect your opinion, and I agree mostly. Only good players can dominate with the Vanilla.

However, I think you do undervalue the potential of the HE, and if you want to see someone wipe the scoreboard with the HA, play a match with TheThirdRace, in my estimation he is THE biotic god. He will maybe outscore your GI, fer realsies.

People are overreacting because your OP can be construed as saying the vanilla kits suck. That may not be your intention, but that's how it came across.

Adept: Very good at holding the line, not so much of an offensive adept in my opinion.

Solider: My claymore or if off host TriRaider, says hi :) Double Claymore or six shot raider, is a STUPID amount of damage.

Engineer: Chain Overload is enough to hold a bunch of minions in place and since the change to fire explosions this class has got even better.

Sentinel: forget the damage passive and you have a very tanky Biotic Explosion Machine.

Infiltrator: Cyroblast is a very nice debuff, I don't play this class very often but in my opinion it is still quite good.

Vanguard: Nova all the things. Invincibility frames and the ability to nova cancel. Combine nova with pretty much anything that can be detonated and fun is sure to be had.

All in all, they are still pretty good classes. I personally don't see anything wrong with them.

I'd actually say he's kinda squishy. Maybe not literally as squishy as a Drell, but I'm much more aware of how fast I'm going down, for some reason. Still wish they would've buffed his base fitness. I shouldn't have to make love to soft cover to not feel like a wet napkin.

Anyway, other than that, I pretty much agree with the vanillla human kit dislike thing. I won't say who's better than who, but I just think mos of them are pretty uninteresting. Aside from the FemSoldier (the dude is a friggin' roid monkey), I don't use any of them with any regularity.
