I can't believe people are actually wasting their time with David.

I always thought the Dark Ritual was a bit of a cop out. Its not exactly a hard choice if the Warden is male, particularly if Morrigan is already a LI.

Warden: So let me get this straight...my choices are between sex, and dying?

That's your perspective. My male Warden was in a relationship with Zevran and hated Morrigan. He couldn't persuade Alistair to sleep with her, so he had to do it. And then I was treated to a sex scene of my Warden doing a 360 and having this huge grin on his face as skanky Morrigan slinked over him. Ugh. Worst video gaming moment EVER for me.

In theory yes but nothing really comes of it in DAO,Awakening or DA2(and I'm not holding my breath for DAI).

Morrigain seems like a lovely mom. And besides, the kid will either turn out emotionally messed up (join the club) or some ancient horror abomination, and the Warden's killed plenty of both, so...

What David is saying, though, is that this mitigates the force of the moral dilemma by giving you a hot witch to sleep with. It's not any less of a moral dilemma due to the witch, it's just that the witch helps you distract yourself from it.

Ha! Sort of true. But some men may be able to look beyond the immediate circumstances towards the bigger picture...

Not sure I'm one of them though. 

It only feels like a cop out since the consequences of completing the ritual are unknown.
