Lol so true. DA sex scenes are just so terrible to watch. I legit feel embarrassed for the programmer that made them.

No problem with casual sexual encounters (e.g. bar pick-ups, visits to the brothel, NPC hook-ups like the one with Isabela in DA:O), just so long as we won't be collecting f***ing SEX CARDS!! Those things are not a positive point in the Witcher games' favour and not something BioWare should try to emulate... not that I think they will, mind you.

Sure Inquisition can learn a thing or two from CDPR, but crappy elements that seemed to be aimed at adolescent boys need not be adopted.

We need the real mature stuff. Blood fountains, emo elves, and "all things are shades of gray" morality.

On a side note, there's a new Wolverine movie out. That's the kind of grit we need in DA game.

If it could be made part of the story/quest, I would be okay with it to some extent. But just for the sake of being able to have sex with anyone you save/meet....I'd say that would take too much development time away from (imo) more important things.

I'm trying to play through The Witcher and the random women throwing themselves at me really breaks things for me. It doesn't seem at all realistic to me that all these young women would throw themselves at an emotionless, freaky-looking dude whom most of the world agrees is some kind of abomination. I especially have difficulty with random women throwing themselves at me when I've just saved them from (nearly) being brutally gang-raped. I'm sorry; I'm a woman, and I think if I'd just been saved from brutal gang-rape, sex with a strange man would be just about the last thing I'd want.

So, I can absolutely do without extra casual sex in Dragon Age, especially if the basis for casual sex is that you've just saved a 'damselled' woman (or man: BioWare would be good for that ). I think the believable opportunities we were given (with brothels and some random encounters that actually make sense) are enough, thanks, and I have confidence that BioWare won't be taking a page from the first Witcher game.

Agreed.

The Witcher and the Witcher 2 are great games, but they are both a little immature and silly with how deal with relationships and sex scenes. In the games defense, I haven't read the books...so maybe they're just emulating the novels. In either case, I don't think how the Witcher games handled sex and relationships should be used as a template for any other game. Nudity doesn't necessarily equal 'mature.'

Yeah... in addition to the issues I mentioned above with casual sexual encounters in some games, I'm also not convinced that playing as The Inquisitor (of any gender identification) in DA3 would be conducive to random sexual encounters, anyway. From what I've seen (and read in Asunder) of the Seekers so far, they strike me as the kind of spy/police force that sensible people fear.

Realistically, I think most people would be grateful to get away from you as fast as they can, and be unlikely to invite you for a tumble in the hay. Unless they're, you know, thrill seekers. There are always some of those in any world, but unless everyone's gone crazy,  I think it's likely that the majority of the population would rather put as much distance between you and them as possible.

There were no stds in North America until the Europeans brought them here.
Remember that.
There seem to be a divergence of opinion on casual sex or any sex. Period.
I don't agree with those who don't want any.
What cd projekt does or doesn't do with its witcher games is irrelevant .
The presence or abscence of sex should be based on what Bioware has historically done in its other games, what is sensible and appropriate , and the personalities of the characters involved.
