Does it play with 2nd edition rules or is it 3.5 like normal NWN2?

Normal NWN2, though with a small restriction IIRC (you can multiclass companions, but through dialogue rather than 'free' multiclassing). Otherwise, all 3.5 I think.

Regardless, it's definitely good stuff and worth a play through :) Being well supported too, as the first patch has just been released.

Yep downloading my NWN2 digital copy now. Too bad he won't be doing BG2. Hopefully another group picks up the project as BG:EE was meh and BG2:EE is caught up in legal red tape.

Well if nothing else I believe there's still an ongoing project (not by the same people) to convert BG2 to the Dragon Age engine. Though given how long it took to do BG1, I'll probably be a pensioner by the time it sees the light of day :)

Been following that as well and I WILL get it once it's done.

Dunno how they plan on implementing D&D on the DA engine if at all.

I'd rather see NWN 2 remade to Infinity:p

I think all NWN2 needed was a good isometric camera. Seriously, the one ingame SUCKS. It also needs better companion AI since micromanaging your party is a pain in the ass. I usually like to play my games on hard mode, but I was forced to go on easy in NWN2 due to the derpiness of the AI. But the two really need to go together, you can't have one without the other.

What I do love is the 3.5 rules and the awesome spellcasting.
