As far as voices go, the only species that would likely need completely separate voicework to be done, as opposed to putting a human voice through a filter, would be Salarians and Krogan (also Vorcha, but a playable Vorcha is relatively unlikely). Everyone else, Turians, Asari, Quarians, Drell, and Batarians, would be relatively easy.

Let's just hope we can customize what will be ME4 at all.

I want species selection. Seriously, who doesn't? It always gets redundant to play a Human. "I love Krogan. Passionate, violent. They burn brightly--and quickly burn out." - Morinth :-D Or an Asari....

I've always wished to be an asari! Full support.
Agreed on that one (most other species are too much like humans IMHO (livespan wise, which gives them a similar outlook on living, while the Asari have another POV - that's why they are often seen as passive/slow to accept change etc. with their longterm-view (there are exceptions: Aethyta for example and Aria (by necessity - as a crimelord she does not have the luxury of sitting back and waiting) and that is good as i could never be like that))
Most other Species i would play the origin and then decide if i would continue probably...mostly because i love Biotics (casters if you look at other games) and the Asari are lore-wise the strongest (and all of them are biotic)...just give me a good background to top that off like say:
- father: krogan-battlemaster (that would be another character i would love to play)
- mother: asari-huntress (meaning a real commando - not just a biotic-soldier, but the Asari-Version of N7)
=> PC joined the huntresses as soon as she was able, after training as a mercenary for few years before (learning basic skills as joining the elite is not done from scratch IMHO - that's why Sheppard is not looking like he just fell out of high-school) etc.
=> was recruited into the SPECTRES (being something "lower" would be bad (unless they would place us on the other side of the law: Crime-Lord!), after our previous hero was a SPECTRE) for "xyz" (make something up - like the war hero-thing in current ME or the sole-survivor) etc.

I prefer to roleplay female human characters that have a wide range of customization options.

Especially female, i am a male and all the faces for females just didn't look right. Maybe it's because the default shep and miranda are babes but still. Hair seemed wrong don't see many girls in my neighborhood with those hair styles.TsaiMeLemoni wrote...
I think I want to stick to human. However, I would love if the CC would give us a greater range of views of the face we're trying to create.
The main problem cutsomizing wise i have is the armor like blood dragon and cerberus nightmare not being customizable. Rocking the cerberus colours doesn't feel right and it's he best armor for my character so that always bugs me.
