No one seems to have trouble with the Asari. Many people believe they look more humanoid. Just slap blue skin and tentacles on, done. Once again, the argument that Aliens are too human looking is ridiculous.

Whilst that gives you something very implausibly similar to humans it still doesn't look human.

The Quarian face is more human, but the Asari body is literally identical. Whereas the Quarian body is quite different.

We don't know what aliens look like in real life, why is it so unacceptable, that an apelike species evolved on another planet?

Take a human face, paint some lines on it and change the skin colour and eye colour and you've got a quarian face. We don't see the ears thanks to the unlikely mass of hair and the nose is the same in the picture. It's not exactly the same nose in the model under the helmet but that looks more like it's down to being a simple model for something not intended to be clearly seen.

You can clearly see the bottom of the ears, and no human ears look like that. They are attached to the face in a way that human attached lobes are not.

As for the nose, it's clear to me the nostril bulges were photoshopped out to produce a nose that - in terms of nostril shape - looks as close to turian as it does human.

Nose looks pretty human to me

Nah, Bioware only retcons things when it means they have to do less work, not more.
Also, I could have sworn we've had like three threads on this today.

No, not really, I'm pretty sure that it meant more work when they retconned the appearance of qunari.

Yesss, as funny as the "more quarians spotted" thread was, it was very lazy and they need to be hit with the big sign that says "don't."

An simian like species can evolve on another planet, but for it look almost exactly like humans is a longshot, unless its some transplanted offshoot or something. Batarians are a more realistic vision what it could be. They are likely a simian species too, but look nothing like us except in body structure.

Like I said before some aliens can be more "familiar", in small amount it is acceptable and we had that in the asari and drell. We didnt need a 3rd species like that, especially if its a lazy photoshop over a human picture. Some quarian sketches are good and acceptable, a manipulated human photo is not IMO.

Aliens in fiction can be classified roughly in 3 trope groups, which we see in ME too

Rubberhead Alien - Asari
Humanoid Alien/Intelligent Gerbil - Salarian, Turian, Krogan
Starfish Alien - Leviathan, Rachni

Different degrees of disappointment, yes. There's no telling what reactions will be. Surprise everyone with a baboon face, and people feel troll'd.

...which is pretty much what happened. But since my male Shep didn't romance Tali anyway, I didn't care about it as much as others probably did, though I couldn't help but be irritated and slightly amused when I saw what all the fuss was about.

Oh, it was a kick in the quads, for sure. The variation pic posted above me would have atleast shown some effort. Atleast photoshop out the appropriate finger

As has been pointed out, like human. It's not people asking for more alien, it's that what we got was a 100% human face and therefore not alien in the slightest.

It's not 100% human. The ears, eyes, and nose are all different.

Just not different enough, apparently.

It's unlikely for Quarians to have full hair? I've seen full haired women wear hazmat suits without a problem.

Yep and im sure the full haired women you saw did not practically live their entire life in a suit.

Realistically speaking, Tali should have had little or no hair, or if she did have hair, it should not be in the good condition it was presented in her picture (not much time to maintain/clean said hair if you barley take the suit off).

I always thought it would appropriate for Quarians to have atleast short hair if no hair at all

That's not Tali, that's just some picture Tali showed Shepard that she herself photoshoped, using a human picture off the internet (or mass effect's version of it).

Maybe Tali doesn't want Shepard to see her true face for whatever reason..............

You know......maybe bioware should take that idea.

Quarians can... you know... have varying lengths of hair.

Who is to say Tali is one in the minority with long hair? We don't know.

Don't go into that topic, Quarian enviro-suits make no sense anyway. Besides, Quarians must take of their suits as frequently, as possible in order to clean them, repair them and replace parts, that's what clean rooms are for. Many body parts couldn't be cleaned inside a suit, even through the space magic of Quarian suits, if they didn't clean them frequently though, they'd die from an infection. There is no reason for them not to have full hair, the concept art for ME2 shows her wear a skin cap over the hair anyway, so practical reasons are also irrelevant.

And I'm positive that they can, and now that they have their homeworld back (with peace with Geth or Geth dead) they'll have long hair again

Fyi, Sheploo actually saw Tali's face in ME2, the player didn't. I think his memory should be fresh enough to recognize it, especially since he sees it again, three times in ME3.

Every time he does see the face he conveinently forgets it.

I think they should just let it be. The damage is done. They were not bothered to model and design a face that Tali deserved, a character that has been in all three games and is beloved by many. However they did model and design and prioritise Jessica Chobot/Diana Allers, the walking IGN advertisement, a completely pointless and dumb character that no one wanted.

It has already been established that Quarians pretty much look like purple humans with 3 fingers now anyway. A retcon would probably anger fans even more. The real issue is that the photoshopped stock photo we got wasn't even a good photoshop. I hope we get to see a REAL Quarian face in the next Mass Effect game and not some lazy cop out.

The sweat is drained through space magic. They'd still have to wash frequently though. If Tali was actually covered in sweat well...Shep would probably still be more focused on other things.

They obviously have to wash themselves regularly, otherwise it would get really uncomfortable in that suit.

First off, her sweat would smell good, and taste good... I would drink it all.

Second, space magic cleans their suits. Don't get mad at me, I didn't write it.
