Yep and im sure the full haired women you saw did not practically live their entire life in a suit.

Realistically speaking, Tali should have had little or no hair, or if she did have hair, it should not be in the good condition it was presented in her picture (not much time to maintain/clean said hair if you barley take the suit off).

Don't go into that topic, Quarian enviro-suits make no sense anyway. Besides, Quarians must take of their suits as frequently, as possible in order to clean them, repair them and replace parts, that's what clean rooms are for. Many body parts couldn't be cleaned inside a suit, even through the space magic of Quarian suits, if they didn't clean them frequently though, they'd die from an infection. There is no reason for them not to have full hair, the concept art for ME2 shows her wear a skin cap over the hair anyway, so practical reasons are also irrelevant.

Wouldn't a Quarian out of their suit...

Uh

Smell really bad?

Maybe the Cerberus implants help Shepard stomach that.

First off, her sweat would smell good, and taste good... I would drink it all.

Second, space magic cleans their suits. Don't get mad at me, I didn't write it.

Nose looks pretty human to me

Like I said earlier, the fan-made photoshop that you linked doesn't change the nose from the original. BioWare's does.

Image IPB

You can tell that's the real one because the hand is screwed up.

No they don't need to retcon her face she is who she is sure the photoshop imagine was a poor way to show it to us given Rannoch was perfect but no retconning her. What BW showed us was conistant with her ingame character from ME - 2 she already had a human nose, jaw, features, her eyes glow, her veil recreates hair so all this checks out making her purple and giving her tattoos or markings was the alien bit and I'm just fine with all that.

In ME4 if we get to choose a Quarian protagonist we should be able to design their face and suit as both are just as important. The Qurian would get skin tones heck in this way we could get all the colors flesh, black, purple in various shades, blue in various shades, white, grey because we've only seen Tali and according to Legion they're all different, eye brightness, facial markings or bare, hair styles, scales/plates or none, ect. Would be very intresting to see what the fans make will they make one more humaniod, like Tali's image, or lean towards the Turians?

Quarians, Krogan and Geth are probably the most popular races, all of them can go pretty much extinct in ME3. That would be bad marketing.

Btw, Hanar, Drell, Elcor and Batarians can also go extinct in ME3.

Out of all the stupid and pointless things called to be retconned, this ranks number 3.

I never understood the hate towards the Quarian look, or chalking up the design to 'laziness' on BioWare's part. There are already a ton of unique and very 'alien' looking species in the game.

Quarians look just fine to me.

The hanar and elcor are the only "alien" looking aliens in the series, discounting fauna. Every other species is humanoid with a twist.

In the past, the majority of aliens in media have always been humanoid with some sort of distinct difference(s). I don't think an alien has to have a different number of limbs or entirely different physical structure to be determined as truly "alien" looking. Especially with the past examples we've seen in film and tv.

I think it's ridiculous that BW didn't even try to make a face for Tali. All they did was photo-shop a pic and put it in the game. I say that BW should make a new face for the Quarians. We know that a Quarian's face is similar to that of a human or an Asari. All that they need to do is make a face that is similar to that of a human, but not to the point that it is almost human.

Somewhat off topic:
I don't get why people seem to think that Tali's skin would be purple. I understand that her mask is purple, but Reegar's mask is black.

So if humanity discovered a dozen or so intelligent species and joined into their galactic community, how many of the would be humanoid?

Considering having a humanoid physiology is optimal for using tools, pretty high.

Standing on limbs to see farther than quadrapeds, having limbs able to manipulate materials and tools in a complex manner, being able to use a multitude of tools, and even multiple tools if need be, and simple legs desined to need the least amount of effort in order to find balance, but are still capable of a large range of movements and speeds.

I'd say outside of having insect or arachnid based lifeforms, we humanoids are a pretty adapt build for creating, building, and manipulating technology in a wide arrange of ways. Of course I doubt many people would like to play a game in which most of the species look like creatures they have an inherant fear of.
