For a ME movie, what would be more important to have? The face models or the voice actors? In cases like Garrus or Javik, you could easily stick the voice actor in the suits and have them do it. I mean it's not like we're asking them to take part in Mortal Kombat or something that requires martial arts training.

But in other human/oid characters like Liara, would you want Jillian Murray who is the in-game face of Liara but doesn't sound like her, or Ali Hillis who is the voice of Liara?

Raphael Sbarge voices Kaidan, but Luciano Costa gives him the physical package. Who would you prefer to see in a ME movie*?

*no you can't choose both :), Luciano doing the acting and dubbing Raphael over him*

And for argument's sake, say that YOU are playing Shepard. So which is it, are the looks far more important or would you rather pin their voice to the wall and run your tongue down their back?

What's your preference and why?

PS: in the case of EDI, you can stick Tricia Helfer in a skin-tight costume that makes her look robotic or something similar, like the Diva in The Fifth Element :)

I'd rather an animated/CGI movie. So you could have the voice actors.

In some cases, I'd go with someone else entirely. Raphael Sbarge is a good actor, but doesn't look the part, so he's out. Luciano Costa looks the part, but as far as I know he's a model instead of an actor.

Turians and krogan would be CG or actors in suits that still require voice-overs. In that case we could have both the face and the voice right.

Neither. Any film that is released is going to smell like three months unwashed goat yansh in the Ibadan heat.

The only way it could possibly be redeemed is if Commander Shepard is played by Beyoncé.

Face.

With voice actors you'd often be getting people who look nothing like the characters they voice. Also, a movie with an entire cast of people known for voice acting in the video game industry isn't going to sell many tickets. The average person's reaction to a movie poster advertising, "Now Playing. Staring Mark Meer and Brandon Keenar" is going to be to ask, "Who?" And not recognizing any names, they are not going to be inclined to purchase a ticket.

All audio captured while filming is trashed. You could easily have the original VA's voice their own characters during ADR, if theyre good enough. Dont think the actors would like that too much though..

I'd rather have a super high-quality CGI movie, kinda like the trailer/commericals for ME3.

Now, sis. You can keep all that hateration to yourself. Beyoncé's acting is a giant doo-doo pile, but then you tell me how much depth and intelligence is in "It's not about strategy or tactics."

The only way a cast full of voice actors would work was if the movie was not live action. Otherwise it is a guaranteed turkey headed straight to DVD.
