Just got off a really annoying pug. The only guy haveing a mic in the game decided that that it would be great idea to start berating everyone who was out scoring him. Even after extraction this guy kept up the troll b***hing.

This wasn't the 1st either tonight. Was there a fool moon tonight I missed, or did every nut job on xbox decide to to buy a mic?

I'd rather hear a guy complaining than someone playing crappy music or something that sounds like a washing machine blaring in the mic.

You can always harass someone who's butthurt...

Last time I've jumped into a ongoing game with a single guy spitting out commands in a high-pitched voice - well, that was quite amusing, I stood for another 3 games and more lols. And like 3 months ago.

Mustard race, mute race :(

Two french guys, one singing and blabbering almost non-stop, telling me mid-way that I am pretty good, then they both bleed out during objective wave, then telling me "What are you doing???" when I am finishing wave.
To this day I am still perplexed as to what did it look like I was doing...Image IPB

At least you're not on PS3, where you can't mute people in game. The only ways to mute people involve your TV/headset.

Pretty much it for PC in pugs on PC...

Had some1 getting grabbed when i tried out a new character on silver about a month ago...

He said was sorry for dying... When I responded, that it was okay... After that like 5 secs of silence and then he went: Holy hell... This is only a silver PUG... Wait a minute... You guys should not even be able to commnicate here...

Havent heard a single pug after that :P

If I'm PUGin' on my own, I'll probably hear someone maybe every couple of days often a thank you for a revive or similar.

If i'm PUGin' with a friend we've usually got a little banter going on some where at which point we often get one of the PUGs joining in.

Haha, I never ever meet Pugginators with a mic. Would be fun. Your story is pure gold though. ;)

I don't often come across people with mic on PC. But one instance stands out:

I was using my Turian Havoc in a PUG gold game vs. Reapers. Wave 8 - two teammates get sync killed, one bleeds out, I clutched it (stimpacks FTW) and they said some nice things and appreciated it. Wave 9 - two people run to spawn nuke, one gets sync killed and the other one gets stomped to death. After a brief time, the third person gets stomped too (y u no use medigel)! I tried to clutch wave 9 but then 'magnet hand' happened. When we returned to the lobby, they started abusing and criticizing me and one person gave me a kick vote. I got so mad and just left the lobby!

This, with no mute option on PS3 if I join a lobby and hear music I drop again, instantly.

Yup. And if I end up getting drafted into a game with annoying mic folk (although this is rare thankfully for me), I'll just funnel them through my mic. Leave it to the side so I don't have to listen to em.

most of the mic users I come across in PUGs have their mics on at full volume and are broadcasting static and sitting alone in their lobbies with people joining and leaving over and over and over..............

I really love how I was dragging two randoms through a Hazard Glacier/Reapers match the other day and one of them decides to get cute. I was clutching a wave 9(one of the many) and suddenly I hear one of them playing........YMCA it's fun to stay at the YMCA. Real funny stuff there....

Huh. I guess I usually find the cute guys with mics.

No seriously, the other day Kenadian and I were Pugging and we found this guy who pops in with a juggernaut and is like "I guess I'll stay with the melee guy and tank for you..." *cue massive destruction as Kenadian desperately tries to keep Rage up despite my QFE killstealing from him* "I guess not... wait for meeeeee guys..."

Some pugs complain when I kite enemies away from devices when clutching an objective wave, or funnel enemies into managable bites.  All they care about is the wave ending. When this happens I wonder, "why am I doing this"? I usually shut them up with a wry comment. ;)
