As for overrated by the fans, quarians. I used to like quarians, but their obnoxious fanbase (primarily Talimancers) eventually drove out any appreciation I might have had for them.

How has nobody said Salarians yet? In the grand scheme of things, they're useless. The Volus make more of an effort.

See, what's sad is that I knew you'd say that. It's pathetic that you can't argue from reason, so you just make it an attack on the other poster, hoping that they are as obsessive about their LI choices as you are.

Liara and the asari are flawed entities and while I can defend some of those flaws with reason, I cannot abide things like the continued existence of Justicars and suppression of knowledge regarding the Ardat-Yakshi. For Liara's part she's made a lot of bad mistakes and, while she owns her mistakes, she still keeps making them, learning very little.

Oh, and most telling, I can go 5 minutes without making a post on the BSN saying "ASARI R BEST RACE  LIARA".

They're the race most overrated by fans. I don't "hate" quarians. I'm just tired of the blind fanaticism.

What? No, that's just my honest opinion. You dislike Quarians because of us Talimancers and that's fine, I dislike Asari because of Liaramancers.

I also acknowledge Tali's mistakes, she's insecure, nervous, inexperienced and a bad leader. 

I also don't go around shouting "Quarians R best race"(most of the time), I just defend the Quarians and bring up my views on the Geth.

And you do it all of the time. I don't think I've ever seen a thread you post in where you didn't eventually bring up either quarians, Tali, geth, or all three.

I agree with this 100%. However, thats why i like to not really go on the forums when i start a playthrough, because i can forget about the obnoxious fans and enjoy the characters (i find it goes for both Tali and Liara).

I dont even see that many Talimancers take a liking to the whole Quarian race. I personally can only take a specific liking to Tali, Zaal'Koris and Kal'Reegar.

Maybe it's just that I stayed off the BSN forums for about half a year shortly after the Extended Cut was released, but were Liaramancers ever a thing on the forum? Maybe back when the "Characters and Relationships" forum was still up, but I never did dare look there for fear my skin would peel off my skull like that Naz! in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I've just never seen anyone argue for Liara or the asari in the same way I've seen people argue for Miranda and Tali. The same goes for Ashley (except the "she's not racist, not really!" argument which was always silly) and Garrus and Jack and Token Black Guy - sorry, Jacob? - and whoever else.
