I agree with this 100%. However, thats why i like to not really go on the forums when i start a playthrough, because i can forget about the obnoxious fans (i find it goes for both Tali and Liara).

Maybe it's just that I stayed off the BSN forums for about half a year shortly after the Extended Cut was released, but were Liaramancers ever a thing on the forum? Maybe back when the "Characters and Relationships" forum was still up, but I never did dare look there for fear my skin would peel off my skull like that Naz! in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I've just never seen anyone argue for Liara or the asari in the same way I've seen people argue for Miranda and Tali. The same goes for Ashley (except the "she's not racist, not really!" argument which was always silly) and Garrus and Jack and Token Black Guy - sorry, Jacob? - and whoever else.

ive only started playing mass effect since december 2012. (got the trilogy pack). But since ive been on the forums, alot of people praise Tali and Liara, and Bash on Ashley (which pisses me off, one of my fav romances, but I dont bash other characters). Miranda's fans dont bother me too much (well since ive been here).

Yeah, Paragon misses her dialogue. I think it is about 3 convo's in, she starts off flirty, then I picked a middle option which was I think I was saying "Wait, you like me too?", then she started ranting about the Council for... no reason... at all...

She's certainly not the most tactful and respectful person. For someone who gets uppity if you question her, she sure has a lot of horrible, bigoted things to say about everyone else, especially if they're aliens.

If we're talking by the game, I'm going to say the Geth. I mean don't get me wrong, I really like the Geth. I just tired of how, since ME2, they've been absolved of every negative thing they ever did either by pinning responsibility to third parties or just never bringing it up ever look how bad the Quarians were  pay no attention to the man behind the curtain etc.

I was fine with the first one, but the second? Fine, the Quarians weren't innocent in the uprising. That's fine by me. In fact, I really liked that revelation. But you don't get to annihilate 98% of an entire species and come away being the good guys who were just misunderstood.

One rant about the Council, which as said above she has every right to do so, doesn't write off her romance as bad. If one is under enough stress, especially with the apocalypse upon them, I'm sure it's not that odd to let off some stress, no matter if they're having a flirty talk or having a debate.

She doesnt agree with everything shepard does, and you have to earn her trust.  Miranda is similar in that aspect. I remember Liara in ME1, the way she creeped you and basically was in love with you the second you met her was annoying. Tali in ME2 is another example, i remember how every damn convo with her involved her hitting/flirting with me, and saying that she would trust me in her suit and what not. im a little rusty on the details, as i havent played the games in a few months

Technically none of the major species do.

The asari have no proper "governing body", just a vast and sprawling low-level democracy. Their High Command - the military - is likely not democratic in any fashion.

The salarians are ruled by Dalatrasses who rules more akin to queens than presidents.

The krogan are a 'might makes right' autocracy/meritocracy, just like the turians. The turians are just better organized.

The geth, like the asari, have a wide low-level democracy in the Consensus.

The quarians have the closest to a democratic government, however each ship captain is still fully autonomous and autocratic in practice.

I didn't see that. The only time I noticed her suggesting things like that was only during and after she admits that Shepard's the only person she trusts with linking her suit environment, which is worth mentioning that this only happens after her loyalty mission, so the "worship" you remember (to me at least) seems fitting.

When I first was told that she would link suits with me, I felt like she was hitting on me. It was majorly awkward. And I think the whole worship thing is how she almost never questions Shepard. In fact, the only time I can think of her questioning Shepard is after s/he decides on killing off her species for the Geth.

You did say "Yeah, she sure is good with romance tbh " which totally seems sarcastic. And like I said, it's not that weird that some people have to vent. Actually, I'm glad she does just because almost EVERY romance within the game seems to be unaffected by the Reaper War. (Though, Miranda, Thane, and Kaidan were.)

I dont actually hate Tali, thats the thing. its just her fans can really ****** me off
