agreed, you learn alot about ashley in ME1, but the only thing anyone seems to remember is the few things she says about aliens. its stupid

Tbh, my latest playthrough was the only one in which she survived all the way through. I actually really like Ash. She's not Kaidan, appearance-wise, but she is still a great character, imo.

Handing over her father's evidence at the trial.

She doesn't actually do anything though. I remember in DA:O, Wynne had several attempts in which she would go against the player if they did something she did not agree with. While I definitely worded my question wrong, I still think that she's much to agreeable.

Shepard siding with legion in ME2 conflict, Tali is mad, and does not agree with it = Questioning

Honestly I could name more, but I think it is sad you guys bash a character because she is not always on Shepard's back like a rabid wolf. I said that about Ashley, because it is the same thing as saying Tali is "worshiping" Shepard - Not accurate.

Wether they discover the Citadel or not is kind of irrelevant as their technology remains the same - superior to any other species in the galaxy.

All those put together and it makes perfect sense why the asari are the most powerful and influential species. In particular, those biotics - as Wrex notes to Liara in ME1, "If you wanted to, the asari could conquer the galaxy". Liara's response is typical; "Then it is fortunate that we have no wish to."

And seriously, have you used Liara as a Squadmate in ME1? Singularity is crazy OP. And that's when she's supposed to be an inexperienced non-combatant. Imagine an army of Liara's trained in proper warfare; We'd all be proper f**ked.

In ME1, no one actually disagreed, save for Wrex. Everyone would give a tidbit of opinion and then remain silent.

In ME2, like I said above, she is angry but doesn't actually do anything. (That one is obvious, though, seeing as you're shutting her tf down.) Like I said, I should have altered my question but whatever.

And who is bashing her character? I love Tali as a character but she's no Miranda or Ashley when it comes to questioning authority. She can't be everything. I think it's sad that whenever one's fave character is critiqued, it's automatically seen as bashing. And no, it's not.

When I talk about these characters, it is easier to say "Ashley", than whoever wrote her.

@Flare, no one in ME2... does... anything drastic when they disagree...

Tali isn't worshipping Shep, she's just in love with him and grateful for saving her life twice and trusting her. Liara explains in ME2, that Tali always had a crush on Shep, but was too shy to show it. Plus she really seems to have a thing for Humans(based on her very intimate dossier).

I don't agree that she almost NEVER does anything, especially during the Rannoch sequence, when Shepard is obviously going against the things she believes in and was taught. Worshipping is a stronger, albeit harsher, term to tie all of this behavior into. Liara and Garrus are some of my favorite characters in the series, the former being one of my top five, however when I'm keeping it 100, I will admit they worship Shepard.
