The Mass effect 3 Rewrite group is gathering pace.
We are are big group, working on a complete rewrite to the mass effect 3 plot. we strive to create an alternate plot that will continue the events of mass effect 2 seamlessly. it means the story will pick up right after the moment you stopped playing mass effect 2 without any time skips.
This will be a completly new and fresh plot with none of the stories from the original mass effect 3 plot.
We are always looking for more people who are interested in making this dream come true.
if you are curious about this then check our group page : http://social.biowar...oup/8590/#group

Just wondering: why should the new plot have nothing in common with the original ME3 plot? The latter tried to continue the plot from ME1 and ME2, and if you do that, it might resemble the ME3 plot to some extent. Not everything with ME3 was bad.
But as an attempt to come up with an alternative and more satisfying plot for the last game of the ME series, something that ties all the threads from ME1 and ME2 together, your project is a good idea, so long it's meant to be public. This way BioWare could learn something from the result.
I've played with the idea to create a thread for the concrete discussion of how the "perfect" story for ME3 would look like, if something of the kind hasn't been made already. Once you start looking at such a project seriously, you realize that the "perfect finale" for this trilogy is not an easy thing to accomplish, given the potent and RP-governed themes of ME1 and ME2.
I do not have the time to engage in such a project on a regular basis, but I would be interesting in seeing how it evolved and ended.
My advice for such a project: first work out the "perfect" endings of the trilogy, then build the story roads that takes you (logically) from everything that could happen in ME1 and ME2 to those "perfect" finales. This amounts to answering the following question first: (given whatever character Shepard is) in what ways could a war against the Reapers actually end?
Edit: Just noticed another thread like this in the forums for ME3. Will post my last remark there. And expand on it a bit.
Edit 2: Found reason to change my mind about the latter idea.
