Is the striker viable?

Anyone know anyways to make this gun useable?
I was thinking it could be used to apply ammo effects to a great effect with its rapid AoE firepower, alongside its damaging AoE damage.
Anyone have a good striker-centric build for applying ammo effects and putting out good damage?

When I did the challenge for using it I think I used it on the Turian Soldier using a typical TSol build. For mods I think I went with extended barrel and magazine size but its been quite a while so I can't really remember.

Turian Ghost and N7 Destroyer are my recommendations to use it on.

Use hunter mode to ramp up the ROF, to prime multiple mooks quickly with ammo effects, then use chain overload for multiple explosions.
Lack of raw damage from the gun would be compensated for by staggerlock and explosions.
High fitness or cyclonics might be necessary to compensate for standing out in the open to ramp up the striker, whilst in hunter mode.
One of my incomplete experimental builds as a matter of fact, I haven't yet decided whether to skip the turret for fitness, or use a healing turret.

It is one of the best mook killer in the game. Combine it with Incendiary Ammo for maximum damage.

Try it on the TGI. It's actually a really effective setup and if I remember correctly it won't break cloak or something.
Correct.

This krogan understands.
It also works perfectly fine on Platinum with the krentinel and what ever your preferred ammo is.
I like to put on some cryo ammo, spec Incinerate for 'Freeze Combo' and enjoy my a burly version of the QFE with lift grenades and an armored head. /suitmonkey

Keep thinking that before a hit from a jav opens that krogan's dome. About the the only thing the striker is viable for is missle glitching. At which time kick and gtfo.

What a strange comment. Your time stuck in the Xsylum has given you a narrow and petty view of a perfectly fine krogan weapon. Go play with your volus.

The splash damage with cryo is what I find most useful - the slow/stopping effect is very useful. I prefer the Falcon for pure stagger, but the splash damage of the Striker (without the Falcon ricochet) pretty much cryowns fast moving Cerberus enemies.
It's defintely a mid- to short-range weapon. It's whole point is to kill them before they close, so it isn't a close-range shotty replacement.
It works well on bosses but I wouldn't expect a low level version to be useful on solo Platinum. With cryo's armor weakening and slowing effect, however, it'll work very well with a team vs. bosses on any level.
