TGI, GI, and Devastator make it work pretty well on gold. Just be mindful that Devastator+striker+charge weapon = common cheater setup. So you might get kicked on accident.
Dont use any armor penetration mods or ammo with striker, they dont work with it.
Is the striker viable?

They already kill pretty well with 6x6 fire explosions, so I'd use disruptor, warp or cryo ammo instead of incendiary to avoid overriding those. I'd bring at least one krentinel along.

I don't use any weapon that has ramp up firing rate for combo detonating or any power focused class (which really screws the GSMG as a power foucsed kit weapon). At least not yet, as I haven't figured out how to make it work? My logic is that you waste to much time going back and forth between shooting and using a power.
