Phantoms are humans like all other cerberus except atlas ofc
They have barrier like nemesis have shields....once the barrier has gone you should be able to do what you want
They also have a spell blocker so they can use that but it's not possible they can reasist at everthing even when the barrier has been destroyed.....

Sadly, this is incorrect.

Phantoms have a 75% damage resistance when dodging, and, due to a bug, when moving as well (though it tends to scatter in and out depending on who's hosting). Seeing a player blast a Phanto,m with a Claymore, only to do minimal damage, is not unheard of.

Phantoms can auto-dodge and auto-lolshield any attack that isn't hitscan, as long as they're a target, no matter the source - it doesn't even have to be a player. Hack a Cerberus Turret, and, even on Platinum with the Berserk upgrade, the Phantom will flip about taking minimal damage. Hack a Geth Prime, Drone, or Bomber, and watch in amazement as a Phantom Lolshields every single siege pulse, tech rocket, or bombing run they perform.

But let's say you get lucky. Say you had a Phantom behind cover, or who is distracted by another player. Can you hit it with a power now? Sure, but now you get to watch as the Phantom immediately uses its gravity boots to catch it if knocked down or knocked flying.

This is on top of synckills, cloaking, and obscene damage, all of which are loaded with their own problems. The Phantom's synckill has no escape condition and cannot be prevented, even if you disarm the Phantom. The synckill hits through invulnerability and resistance frames, interrupts everything, and completely one-shots whoever's hit (and you jackasses wonder why the AIU and Juggernaut are so prevalent now). The cloaking is buggy as hell, and, like the Geth Hunter's, frequently allows projectiles and powers to pass harmlessly through the Phantom, as if she did not actually exist - the only upside is that compared to the Hunter, this happens infinitely less. The Phantom outdamages every normal enemy except for a Possessed Collector Captain, has no report, and is virtually undetectable from long range. It's also pinpoint accurate and generally will kill most classes within half-a-dozen shots at most (usually about 2-3 for most non-durability-specced chars).

Phantoms are horribly imbalanced, to the point where they pretty much warp the entire Cerberus Metagame. They render the entirety of Cerberus that isn't them invalid via their mere existence, and everyone who has played extended gold runs has had the absolute jackass scenario of endless 4-phantom conga lines the second you get a hack objective. 

Whoever designed the damned things has no business designing enemies for anything, ever. I'll take Collectors over Phantoms.

I think phantoms are very well designed and not cheap at all. They are a super tough opponent that you have to prioritize and take very seriously. They are far far better than the cheese of the collectors with endless swarms and abominations that spawn anywhere. Or the Geth that dodge 50% of all powers tossed at them.

Do I like getting gibbed by them? No, but most of the time I've made an error.

Phantoms can auto-dodge and auto-lolshield any attack that isn't hitscan, as long as they're a target, no matter the source - it doesn't even have to be a player. Hack a Cerberus Turret, and, even on Platinum with the Berserk upgrade, the Phantom will flip about taking minimal damage. Hack a Geth Prime, Drone, or Bomber, and watch in amazement as a Phantom Lolshields every single siege pulse, tech rocket, or bombing run they perform.

But let's say you get lucky. Say you had a Phantom behind cover, or who is distracted by another player. Can you hit it with a power now? Sure, but now you get to watch as the Phantom immediately uses its gravity boots to catch it if knocked down or knocked flying.

This is on top of synckills, cloaking, and obscene damage, all of which are loaded with their own problems. The Phantom's synckill has no escape condition and cannot be prevented, even if you disarm the Phantom. The synckill hits through invulnerability and resistance frames, interrupts everything, and completely one-shots whoever's hit (and you jackasses wonder why the AIU and Juggernaut are so prevalent now). The cloaking is buggy as hell, and, like the Geth Hunter's, frequently allows projectiles and powers to pass harmlessly through the Phantom, as if she did not actually exist - the only upside is that compared to the Hunter, this happens infinitely less. The Phantom outdamages every normal enemy except for a Possessed Collector Captain, has no report, and is virtually undetectable from long range. It's also pinpoint accurate and generally will kill most classes within half-a-dozen shots at most (usually about 2-3 for most non-durability-specced chars).

Phantoms are horribly imbalanced, to the point where they pretty much warp the entire Cerberus Metagame. They render the entirety of Cerberus that isn't them invalid via their mere existence, and everyone who has played extended gold runs has had the absolute jackass scenario of endless 4-phantom conga lines the second you get a hack objective. 

Whoever designed the damned things has no business designing enemies for anything, ever. I'll take Collectors over Phantoms.

I won't argue phantoms can be cheap, but we too have a lot of powers to trivialize them:
Biotics: stasis, dark channel/reave go through their bubble so you can bioexplode them even in their bubble, biotic charge staggers them too.
Tech: energy drain, snap freeze, overload, flamer, submission net (effective, although not as easy as stasis). Detonate your tech armor and you stagger them (always go for radius on rank 4 of tech armor )
Combat: ballistic blades is also very efficient. No matter the class, their is one kit in each category that can effectively deal with them. 

As far as weapons are concerned, you have the scorpion, the acolyte, the geth plasma shotgun staggers them every time, the falcon, the striker and the adas chew them too. 

TL;DR dragoons ****** me off way more than phantoms

Fighting Phantoms is like playing Cops and Robbers with a six-year-old:

"I shot you!"
"No you didn't!  I have...a forcefield!  Yeah, a forcefield!"

"Ha!  Got you that time!  You were moving!"
"No, I...was doing my robber ninja flip!  And I'm invisible!"
"Invisible ninja flip?  I guess I have no choice...Blam!  I hit you with my frag grenade!"
"No!  I activate my forcefield just in the nick of time!  It blows me in the air, but I use my rocket ankle bracelets to come back down behind you, and I stab you with my ninja sword!"
