Reave or Dark Channel on my Vanguard, and Incisor, Raptor, or Indra for a Soldier?
Reave or Dark Channel, and which semi-auto sniper?

Depends on how you want to play your Vanguard. Vanguards can get away with just Charge and Nova and ammo powers (recommended Incendiary Ammo with Explosive Burst evolution). If you really want to use one, then I would probably recommend Reave since you can have a radius at rank 4 and it can add damage protection. Reave can also both detonate and prime biotic explosions; Dark Channel can only prime. But please note that I have never used Dark Channel at all on Shepard in single player.
Of those three sniper rifles, Indra is the best option.

I would never recommend dark channel, mainly for lore reasons. Sniper rifle choice on the soldier really depends on the other weapons you are carrying. There isn't much point taking a raptor if you're already packing a mattock (they're pretty much the same gun), but if you have a full auto assault rifle on your back, you might want to consider it.

RA RA XD:
You mentioned DC and lore in the Bonus Power thread as well. What exactly is your reasoning as to why it breaks lore? Just because it isn't introduced until ME3? I don't get it.
That said, I like Reave better anyway. Short cooldown and if you take Radius on both Reave and Charge, you can potentially detonate 3 Biotic Explosions in a single Charge. It also staggers mooks.
With Dark Channel, it won't jump to another target if they're more than 8 meters away (at least in MP, but I think that's true of SP as well), so I often end up recasting it before the duration is up anyway.
On the snipers...
Indra if I'm picking from the ones you listed, but I'd rather pack a full auto Assault Rifle and then bring the Black Widow (or Valiant if I had it).

Dark Channel probably makes more sense lore wise than Reave.

I did a playthrough with only the Indra and backup weapons like SMGs and Pistols, but Shepard's class was Engineer. The Indra is the ideal for your Soldier if the other weapon is a short-ranged Assault Rifle (Revenant, Typhoon) or a short-ranged slow Shotgun (Claymore, Raider, Wraith).
I believe that Reave will be more useful on your Vanguard, since it can add to your survivability and can detonate Pull with ease.

You make a fair point. Here is the method to my madness:
- Biotic abilities are caused by the manipulation of mass effect fields by the caster. There is no area of mass effect lore that supports the idea of a mass effect fields moving through a medium to "seek" out a target, much less "know" when a target is destroyed so as to move on to the next one.
- Biotic abilities are contolled through a technique called "physical mnemonics", in which the user uses physical gestures to channel the neutrons through the eezo nodules imbeded in their body tissue. As the caster makes no gesture during the movement of the DC field, it can be assumed that it moves of its own accord, which, as discussed above, is not possible within the lore.
- Biotic abilities traditionally fit into three categories: telekinesis, kinetic fields, or spatial distortion. Take ME3 reave for example, it is a fusion of spatial distortion and kinetic fields: it damages the target at the molecular level, as well as providing a protective kinetic barrier around the caster. Fusions of multiple categories are rare, but not unheard of. DC does not fit into any of these categories, it appears to "follow" a target across the battlefield and "harass" them until thier eventual demise, like a swarm of insects.
- Once detonated, biotic fields disapate with the explosion, as their energy has been transfered to heat, light and sound (which is consistent with the laws surrounding conservation of energy). If dark channel is detonated and the target is killed, it transfers to another target, for another detonation from the same field. Not only does this break the game lore (biotics always disapate after detonation), it also breaks one of the fundamental laws of physics (It's a game though, so this last bit probably doesn't matter very much).
- All eezo based activities have thus far manifested themselves as fields of blue/white particles (biotic abilities, drive cores, mass effect based ordinance). DC is green in appearance, presenting the possability that its creation is unrelated to eezo, which begs the question: is it even a biotic ability at all?

Never thought that deeply about it, but you make good points. Since it was introduced with a Prothean squadmate, perhaps lorewise it's some kind of prothean specific ability. Not saying it would make sense on Shep or the other MP characters though.
Gameplay wise I would pick reave for DR like previously mentioned, and use Javik to also cast DC to get chain explosions. My vanguard team was usually Liara and Javik and it was just too much fun to prime with the D-pad assignments and detonate with charge/nova. I would choose the indra as well. I don't know a situation I would recommend the incisor for... Also I don't think 1 charge can cause more than 1 detonation even with radius. Anyone know for sure?

Thank you, RA RA XD, for the very thorough answer. You've obviously put a great deal of thought into it.
Personally, I'll just stick with Reave because I find it more useful/effective than DC. In MP, however, I'll gladly exploit the massively overpowered Huntress version of DC.

And destroy all of your team mates ear drums thanks to the sound glitch.
The multiplayer variant of dark channel should read "+200% effectiveness vs ear drums"
